NM500 wear-resistant steel, due to its high hardness and high strength, there is no equal strength matching welding wire at present, and its welding mainly considers the toughness of the welded joint, thereby reducing the risk of cracking, so its welding focuses on the selection of welding consumables and the determination of welding parameters.
Due to the use of low-strength matching welding wire, the wear resistance of the weld is low, so in order to ensure the wear resistance of the weld, it is necessary to surpass the wear-resistant layer on the surface of the weld.
Welding wire is recommended
It is recommended to use 50 70 kg low-alloy high-strength steel welding consumables, so that the weld has a high plastic reserve under the premise of ensuring a certain connection strengthThe recommendations are as follows:
Wire specifications, recommended 08~1.6mm (preferably 1.)2mm), to ensure good manufacturability and production efficiency.
Welding wire type, solid wire is recommended, less slag, easy to clean up between layers, can be welded in all positions, wide range of application, high production efficiency, easy to achieve mechanization and automation.
Selection of shielding gases
A mixture of 80% argon + 20% carbon dioxide is recommended. Compared with pure CO2 shielding gas, 80% argon + 20% carbon dioxide mixture can refine the melt droplets, stabilize the arc, reduce spatter, improve weld forming, reduce the burning loss of alloying elements, and improve weld strength and impact toughness.
Recommended welding parameters
Note: In order to ensure that the welded joint obtains a better strength and toughness matching, it is recommended to select the welding line energy according to the plate thickness, and the energy of the wear-resistant steel welding line is recommended to take the plate thickness 10 01(kj/mm)。
* Wear-resistant steel: NM400, NM450, NM500, specification 3-25mm, can be processed and cut, can be ordered**.
