The project comes from 6 teaching and research units: 1 affiliated hospital of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, 1 Chinese college, 1 basic medical school, 1 school of management, 1 school of Marxism, and 1 affiliated Meishan Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine.
The development of social sciences in the school follows the strategy of "establishing a mechanism, building a platform, and strengthening the team", and has cultivated and formed characteristic research fields such as "research on unearthed medical literature and cultural relics represented by the Han Tomb of Laoguanshan", "research on bioethics of traditional Chinese medicine", and "research on Tibetan medicine literature and culture of the Southern School".
