On December 14th, the snowboard and freestyle skiing World Cup Copper Mountain will be held. Su Yiming, who previously participated in the Beijing Shougang Station Big Air World Cup in China, and Gu Ailing, who participated in the Chongli Genting Station Halfpipe World Cup, will "meet" in this event. Both won gold medals at the first snowboard and freestyle skiing World Cups.
Previously, the Shougang Big Air and Chongli Genting U-Groove, the two venues of the Beijing Winter Olympics, successively held the FIS Snowboard and Freestyle Skiing World Cup Beijing and Chongli Competitions. Two Chinese Winter Olympic champions, Su Yiming and Gu Ailing, won the World Cup in Beijing Shougang and Chongli Genting respectively. Among them, Gu Ailing was injured in training in Austria a week before the Chongli competition, and still played with an injury, and finally won the championship.
After Shougang won the championship, Su Yiming moved to Canada, and although he had a cold and fever due to the weather, he still won the runner-up in the Big Air World Cup in Edmonton. Then Su Yiming moved to the United States and is about to compete in the Snowboard Big Air World Cup Tongshan Station. The tournament attracted 57 men's competitors, and in addition to Su Yiming, his teammate Yang Wenlong will compete in the second group. Japan's Tekatsu Hasegawa, who had just won the championship in Edmonton, and Daisho Hagiwara, the champion of the Chur station, were in the first group. At present, Su Yiming has won one gold and one silver this season, and has gained 180 season points.
Gu Ailing will compete in the Freestyle Skiing Halfpipe World Cup at Copper Mountain Ski Resort in the United States. This is also the first time that Gu Ailing and Su Yiming have competed "on the same field" this season. Gu Ailing, who finished in the top three at the previous Chongli Genting Station, American player Farhebo and Canadian player Fraser will all participate in the freestyle skiing halfpipe World Cup. In addition to Gu Ailing, the Chinese team also has Liu Yishan and Li Fanghui to participate in this competition. Zhang Kexin, who was injured in training before the final in Genting, missed the competition.
