The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is an international graduate record test administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to test students' language, mathematical, and analytical thinking skills. The GRE exam process is divided into the following sections:
1.Registration and registration: Test takers need to register an account on the GRE official website, fill in their personal information, and pay the test fee. Then select a time and location for the exam.
2.On the day of the test: Candidates need to bring valid documents (such as ID card, passport, etc.) and test materials (such as **, test fee, etc.). It is recommended to arrive at the test room in advance in order to successfully complete the procedures such as check-in, bag storage, and security check.
3.Start of the test: Before the official start of the test, candidates need to enter the start code on the computer. Then enter the exam interface and select the school to send points. The layout of the test interface is similar to that of the official ETS mock test software.
4.Analytical Writing: The exam begins with a writing section, which consists of two tasks, an issue task on a problem and an argument task. Each task is required to be completed within 30 minutes.
5.Verbal and Quantitative sections: This is followed by the Chinese and Mathematics sections, each with two sub-sections. The language section covers vocabulary comprehension, reading comprehension and fill-in-the-blank questions in the fields of astronomy, geography, humanities, science, art, politics and history. The mathematics section examines basic mathematical problems such as geometry, algebra, statistical charts, and intelligence tests.
6.Experimental section: The additional part may be Chinese or Mathematics, depending on the candidate's situation. This part does not count towards the overall score, but candidates cannot tell which part is an additional test.
7.End of Exam: Candidates can leave the exam room after completing all sections. The results of the exam will be announced after a certain period of time, and candidates can check it through the official website.
The entire GRE test process takes approximately 4 hours, including a 10-minute break in between. During the preparation period, candidates should fully understand the content and question types of the test, and conduct targeted training. At the same time, it is important to maintain good physical condition to ensure that you can perform at your best on test day.
