Returning the money from the Counting House may seem like the right thing to do in Baldur's Gate 3, but is the reward for doing so worth it?
In Baldur's Gate 3, one of Shadowheart's side quests leads players to the Lower City Counting House, where Lakas Flashbeard meets them and asks for help. The goal of this quest is to return 10,000 gold to Flashbeard, but is it worth it?
The quest to return the gold coins of Rakas is located in the southern part of the lower city, and like most quests in Baldur's Gate 3, it leaves the player to decide the final outcome. This guide provides detailed information on whether or not players should return Lakas Shinshu's money, and the rewards they can receive for doing so.
Following Shadowheart's storyline, when the time comes, the player will come to the Downtown Counting House. There, they can go down to the vault and look for a character named Lakas Flashbeard. During the conversation with the banker, the player learns that he has been robbed of a large sum of money. He would ask the group to return it in exchange for a reward. The Counting House weakened security measures to trap the King of Stones, but something went wrong and now the team must return the money.
In the vault, the player will see shoe prints leading to the sewers. They can go in search of the Stone King and get the money back in the abandoned cistern, but they should be careful;In the sewers, the heroes face a puzzle, battles, and choices that will affect the story.
