This is also the first time that this year's National Drama Exhibition and Performance Season has linked up with local colleges and universities in Dongcheng to carry out a dialogue on the peak of drama art and create a communication platform for the drama industry.

Xu Yongsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy of Drama, said that the Academy of Drama has cultivated a large number of elite talents in drama, film and television art over the years, and actively participated in the construction and development of Dongcheng District. The college and Dongcheng District will work together to polish the brand of "Daxi Dongwang", write a new chapter in the integrated development of districts and schools, and help improve the quality of the city and the literary and artistic literacy of citizens.
Sun Xinjun, secretary of the Dongcheng District Party Committee, introduced that Dongcheng District, as the core bearing area of the national cultural center, is an influential drama gathering area in the country, and has always been a place for China's drama to be performed. "Dongcheng District will strive to create a first-class drama ecology and work with theater colleagues at home and abroad to create a better future for the 'Drama City'. "Dongcheng will take the peak dialogue of the national drama exhibition season as an opportunity to help the in-depth cooperation with the ** Drama Academy, rely on the resource advantages, professional talents and industry influence of both sides, give full play to the role of cultural traction and think tank, further promote the construction of a cultural power, serve the regional cultural construction, and give full play to the cohesion, radiation, and innovation leading role of the core bearing area of the national cultural center, so as to help improve the quality of the city and the literary and artistic literacy of citizens.
The event was hosted by the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Dongcheng District Party Committee, the Dongcheng District **, and the Drama Academy. With the theme of "Urban Drama Landscape", the event brought together more than 10 domestic theater industry leaders, senior experts, well-known artists, managers and experts in the industry to jointly develop and innovate the theater industry, explore the relationship between theater and the city, and create the top drama exchange and display platform in China's theater industry. The participating experts and scholars held a roundtable dialogue on the two major topics of "Continuation and Innovation of Chinese Stories in the New Era" and "Cultivation and Scene Application of Performing Arts Space", bringing an exchange of theatrical ideas with both theoretical height and topic breadth.
In recent years, Dongcheng District has grasped the key areas and key links of the development of drama culture, focusing on theater construction, repertoire creation and brand activities, gradually forming a set of scientific management and efficient working mechanism, creating a number of distinctive drama brand activities, condensing a group of talents who love drama to create and communicate, and building a "big opera Dongwang" performing arts ecology, and improving the people's sense of cultural participation through brand activities throughout the year and differential positioning.

The 2023 National Drama Exhibition Season will start at the end of November and will last until January 2024. This year's season will link more than 10 cities including Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenzhen and Nanjing, bringing 23 plays and 43 performances. At the same time, it will create a series of activities of "Opera in the City", bringing together new theater performing arts spaces such as Nanyang Sharing International, 77 Cultural and Creative Park, Damai Performing Arts New Space, and Pigment Hall to carry out a series of immersive and diversified theater cultural experiences.
