From BYD to Huawei

In the past three years, China's auto market has been turbulent.

BYD has been very moisturized in recent years, relying on plug-in hybrid and battery technology, killing Japanese cars to the point of losing their armor. BYD sold 1.8 million units in 2022 and will reach 3 million units in 2023, ranking first in China and the top 10 in the world, a height that has never been reached by Chinese car companies. Currently, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles is about 40%, and it will continue to expand in the future.

At the same time, we also see that in the traditional high-end car market, the sales of German cars Mercedes-Benz and BMW are still very large. BYD hasn't been able to make much of an impact on these brands yet. Who will do this? The first one to rush out is the ideal, relying on luxury configuration, intelligent driving and extended range routes, with more than 300,000 yuan and monthly sales of 40,000 units.

Huawei has also relied on intelligent driving to open up the situation, first of all, the sales of the M7 have soared, and the monthly sales volume has exceeded 10,000, and it will soon reach 30,000 units after increasing production capacity. In 2024, it is worth looking forward to whether Huawei can achieve annual sales of 1 million vehicles.

New energy vehicles into the second half, from electrification to intelligence, all the players have been in place, who can stand out in this market competition, let us wait and see.
