China Economic Net, Beijing, December 26 (Reporter Guo Tao) From December 23rd to 24th, the third "Automotive Environmental Protection Innovation Leading Plan" final defense meeting jointly initiated by FAW-Volkswagen and China Environmental Protection Association and supported by Tsinghua University was held in Beijing. Experts from the domestic automotive industry, research institutions and management departments and other related fields, combined with national policies and industry trends, reviewed 20 shortlisted project cases from 13 universities and cutting-edge institutions in the automotive industry across the country, and finally 14 projects were funded, with a total funding amount of 4.5 million yuan.
According to reports, the third "Automotive Environmental Protection Innovation Leading Plan" received a total of 31 applications for scientific research projects from all over the country, covering green energy, electric drive systems, power batteries and charging, vehicle energy management, intelligent chassis, hydrogen fuel cells, energy-saving vehicles and other fields. After multiple screening and evaluation, a total of 20 declared projects from 13 universities and institutions, including Southeast University, Wuhan University of Technology, China Automotive Information Technology (Tianjin)**, Jilin University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, stood out and entered the inspection stage.
At the defense meeting, Fang Zhi, deputy secretary-general of the China Environmental Protection Association, said: "The 'Automotive Environmental Protection Innovation Leading Program' has been successfully held for two sessions, with the support and participation of experts in the automotive industry such as national ecological and environmental protection system authorities, universities and research institutes, and a total of 9 million yuan of funding has been provided for 28 innovative projects, resulting in many forward-looking topics in the industry, and promoting the green and low-carbon accelerated development of the automotive industry." It is believed that the successful implementation of these projects will not only play a role in promoting China's green and low-carbon development, but also contribute to the response to global climate change. ”
In this year's project selection process, the "Automotive Environmental Protection Innovation Leading Plan" conducted a comprehensive review from seven major fields: green energy, power battery and charging, hydrogen fuel cell, electric drive system, intelligent chassis, vehicle energy management, and energy-saving vehicles, from multiple dimensions such as scientific research value, achievement transformation prospects, business model innovation, and green development, and put forward positive and forward-looking suggestions.
In the context of the current rapid development of new energy vehicles, the action plays a platform role to actively promote segmentation and forward-looking research, promote the "double carbon" strategy in the field of transportation, adjust the carbon emission accounting methods of vehicle enterprises, build a quantitative model of carbon emissions in the life cycle of the automobile circle, actively explore from different technical paths, improve the supply capacity of key common technologies, and enhance the integration and innovation capabilities of automobiles and related industries.
In recent years, while adapting to market needs, the automobile industry has accelerated the green and low-carbon development of the industry, and promoted the green and coordinated development of the whole industry chain in combination with the development trend of electrification, intelligence and low-carbon, and has achieved remarkable results. Today, with the vigorous development of the industry, new requirements are constantly put forward for the development of the industry.
Since 2020, the China Environmental Protection Association and FAW-Volkswagen jointly launched the "Automotive Environmental Protection Innovation Leading Plan", which aims to select and fund potential projects in the field of automotive environmental protection technology by establishing core frontier topics in the field of automotive environmental protection technology, influencing the continuous and in-depth investment and research of automotive environmental protection technology from all walks of life, and solving key problems.
Yu Benxiong, Director of FAW-Volkswagen Quality Assurance Vehicle Analysis Center, said, "FAW-Volkswagen shoulders the corporate social responsibility of green development, and in the strategic opportunity period of industrial transformation and upgrading, we hope to work together with professional fields to transform the basic research of automotive environmental protection technology into scientific and technological achievements, and drive the green and low-carbon transformation of products, production, and upstream and downstream industries." In the past three years, some of the research results are playing a positive role in brand technology innovation and R&D work, and it is hoped that these research topics will contribute to the establishment of an environment-friendly and public health automobile society for the whole industry and the construction of ecological civilization. ”
