In the Jinsha River Gorge, which is 110 kilometers away from Lijiang, there is a village built on a boulder, Baoshan Stone Town. Legend has it that in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties, the ancestors of the Naxi nationality migrated here to escape the war, split stones to live, and opened fields along the stones, turning a barren land into a green granary. Today, there are just over 200 households in the village, most of whom are elderly.

There are more than 150 elderly people over the age of 60 in the village, and grandparents in their 70s and 80s go to the fields every day to feed the pigs and take care of the crops. 76-year-old He Shanhao cuts 50 catties of pigweed every day, feeds five pigs, and takes care of eight acres of cornland. In this jumping competition, as the captain, he planned to grab a seeded player. He Shiqiang, 67 years old, is recognized as the old prince of table tennis in the village, and is also the captain of the old handsome guy team in the jumping competition, and one of the tough opponents of He Shanhao.
Da Dou is often accompanied by gourd sheng in dance, also known as reed sheng dance. 77-year-old Mu Yuchang is the person in the village who knows the most ancient tunes of Naxi, and whoever grabs her is equivalent to having the oldest and purest singing voice of Naxi dancing. For the 92-year-old He Xiancheng, advanced age is an unavoidable hurdle, and the number of places in the competition is limited, but he still wants to give the Gu Xi team a try.
