Take nothing as the heart, and do the law

Zhuangzi tells a story in "Emperor Ying":

In ancient times, the emperor of the South China Sea was called Yu, the emperor of the North Sea was called Hu, and the emperor of ** was called Chaos.

Yu and Su often come to meet Chaos here, and Chaos is very good to both of them.

They wanted to repay Chaochao and said, "Everyone has seven senses, which are used to see, eat, and breathe, but he does not have them, so we will try to chisel them for him."

So they opened seven orifices for Chaos, one for one day, and on the seventh day, Chaos's death.

The "promising" of the unscrupulous and the sudden killed the chaos.

Zhuangzi said: If you don't do anything, you will be quiet, and if you don't do anything, you will do everything.

It is better to respect the facts and be humble than to do anything that destroys nature and stifles nature.

Going with the flow and being quiet and doing nothing is a kind of wisdom and a kind of strength.

To do nothing is to not confront the world.

There is a story about swimming in Zhuangzi Dasheng.

Confucius was playing in Luliang and saw a waterfall dozens of zhang high.

The waterfall rushes down, deafening, and the water downstream of the waterfall is so turbulent that even fish and turtles dare not swim in it.

But Confucius saw a man in the water from a distance.

Confucius thought that this man was looking for death, so he and ** went downstream to find him.

Unexpectedly, this man swam a few hundred steps in the water, and came out of the water while singing leisurely.

Confucius thought this man was a ghost.

When I caught up, I found out that it was a person.

Confucius asked him why he could swim in such a turbulent current.

The man said, "I sank to the bottom of the water with the whirlpool, and then surfaced with the upward current, and I followed the water without any confrontation, and this is my way."

Conversely, if you struggle in the water, you may soon be swallowed by the water.

Go with the flow, maintain a state of inaction, and do not struggle or fight, which is the secret of his swimming.

Life is a long way, and there will always be stumbles.

If you blindly confront the world, not only will you not be able to smooth the path of life, but you will gradually exhaust your own energy in the collision.

In the end, you can only be embarrassed, or even achieve nothing.

Zhuangzi also told a story about how the cow was solved.

Ku Ding took a knife and broke down the cow through the hide.

Strange to say, when the knife slashed between the bones, he said that he felt that he was being led by the "qi veins" of the cow itself.

Zhuangzi said: The official knows and the god wants to do.

Don't have any other thoughts or actions at all, just go along.

But many "mediocre hands" always have their own ideas, wanting to break this state of inaction and fight against the "qi vein" of the cow itself.

As a result, the knife often gets stuck in the bones of the cow, or cuts into the bones.

So their knives have to be changed once a month.

Nineteen years later, Ku Ding's knife was still as sharp as new, because it had never been damaged.

Zhou Yijun said: When I was young, I always wanted to go against the current, and when I got older, I realized that I had to follow the trend.

When I was young, I always wanted to compete with the world.

But I slowly found that the harder I worked, the more I hit walls everywhere, and my head was bleeding.

Learn to do nothing, not to fight the world, not to embarrass yourself.

Downhill horses, downwind to make the boat, take the long wind, in order to break the waves.

To do nothing is not to consume yourself.

Such a story is recorded in the Nanhua Sutra.

A man was walking on the road and accidentally saw his shadow and footprints, thinking that he had encountered a ghost.

He was so frightened that he ran as fast as he could, but the faster he ran, the tighter the shadow chased after him, and the more footprints he left behind.

So he ran even harder, and finally died of exhaustion.

Zhuangzi said: "For those who are tortured outside, gold and wood are also; For those who are punished internally, they are also moved and passed. ”

Outward pain comes from punishment, and inner pain comes from one's own inner conflict.

In many cases, people do not exhaust their own energy in the confrontation with the outside world, but destroy their inner anxiety and internal friction.

Liezi also told a worrying story.

There are people in the country who are worried that the heavens and the earth will collapse, so they worry every day, not eating or sleeping.

Later, after being enlightened, I finally understood that the sky would not fall, so I put my mind at ease.

Psychologically speaking: 90% of what a person fears will not happen.

Most people's troubles are self-inflicted, and most of the internal friction is unfounded.

Zhuangzi said in the "Theory of Qi Things" that Jin Xiangong crusaded against Lirong and captured Liji, the daughter of the local border guard.

Regitte was terrified, not knowing what kind of disaster she would face, and cried in panic.

Who would have thought that she was elected by Jin Xiangong as a concubine, with fine clothes and food, and her life was much better than before, at this time she felt that she was really stupid to cry back then.

Hellinger said: Let everything happen.

Fortune and misfortune depend on each other, and sometimes many things seem to be disasters, but they are actually turning around.

Instead of being anxious and restless, it is better to go with the flow and accept all the arrangements of fate.

Learn to be at peace with what comes your way, and only then can a person gain peace and strength.

Stable and peaceful, no waves, in order to better cope with the ups and downs of life.

Do nothing, and do nothing.

Su Shi once crossed the sea, from Gaoshan to Huaishang.

On the way, when encountering strong winds and waves, the boat shook incessantly, and the people on the same boat were seasick and vomited.

But Su Shi did everything as usual.

The others were very puzzled, so they asked him if he had any strange arts.

Su Shi said: Don't fight with it, but listen to what it does.

Go with the flow, take it easy, let your body rise and fall with the wind and waves, and you don't have to do anything deliberately.

This is the method of taking a boat, and it is also the wisdom of life.

Life is like a boat, there are always wind and waves on the road, some people fight hard, and some people rise and fall with the boat.

The harder you fight, the more bumpy your life becomes.

The world is impermanent, many things are beyond the reach of man, learn to do nothing, in order to do nothing.

When Su Shi was young, he was determined to learn from Xi Fan and benefit one party.

After ten years of cold windows and the title of the gold list, he originally thought that he could display his ambitions and make a career.

Who would have thought that he would be degraded to Huangzhou, and the big hand of fate pressed him to the bottom.

Su Shi was unwilling and did not accept it.

He said: Pick up all the cold branches and refuse to live, and the lonely sandbar is cold.

A lonely man against the filth of the world.

He said, "I also want to cry and be poor, and I can't afford to blow the ashes."

Stuck in depression and entanglement all day long, constantly consuming himself.

He couldn't see anyone, so he had to go out at night to get some air.

He couldn't sleep peacefully, he had nightmares every day, and he could only sleep for a while when he was in the temple.

During that time, his life was almost wasted.

It wasn't until later that he regained his meaning and found himself again in the process of saving the abandoned babies in Huangzhou.

He stopped fighting against the world, began to cultivate the wasteland, and became a farmer in peace.

He no longer consumes himself, enjoys nature and life with the breeze and bright moon, and calmly accepts all the arrangements of fate.

In Huangzhou, he rescued abandoned babies and abolished bad customs.

In Hangzhou, he dredged the West Lake to improve people's livelihood.

In Huizhou, he disseminated technology and built water conservancy.

In Danzhou, he digged wells for pharmaceuticals and taught and educated people.

After decades of derogation, it did not affect his ideal of governing the country and the country at all, but made his life glorious through the ages.

With the heart of birth, walk into the world.

He is like a seed, fate left him in **, and he is there to take root and sprout, and bear fruit.

Follow your heart and be at peace with your encounter.

Flattening his mind and accepting the whole of life has allowed him to reduce the loss of life and live a different wonderful life with more abundant strength.

Yi Gongzi said: Wuwei is a promising person with full power.

Inaction is not a negative arrangement, but a withdrawal of our life energy from those entanglements and obsessions, and no longer confronting the world and ourselves.

Only in this way can I face the world with a full state.

Take nothing as the heart, and do the law

Learn to do nothing, a person can be calm and calm, and do nothing.

Give it a thumbs up and encourage your friends.
