My husband is mediocre

In my impression, my husband is always that ordinary figure. He doesn't talk sweetly or surprise romantically, but our lives are as peaceful as a lake.

Every morning, he gets up on time to prepare breakfast and then goes to work. After work, he would always come home on time to walk and chat with me. On holidays, he would take me to the park to bask in the sun or watch a movie with me. His company made me feel that the years were quiet.

However, as the days went by, I began to feel that life was boring. I envy women who have romantic love, whose stories are full of passion and surprise. And I seem to have a "mediocre" husband, and my ordinary life seems to have an end in sight.

Until that day, I saw an elderly couple on the street. They held hands, faltered, and supported each other. The husband was also an ordinary person, but his wife's eyes were full of happiness. At that moment, I suddenly realized that the so-called mediocrity is nothing but another form of happiness.

Back home, I hugged my husband and told him, "Thank you for the mediocre life you have given me over the years and made me understand that plainness is true." He smiled and hugged me tightly.

Since then, I no longer envy other people's lives. Because I know that in my world, having a husband who knows how to cherish each other is the most precious treasure. In this loving environment, we grow old together and walk through every ordinary day hand in hand. And this mediocrity is the most precious part of our love.
