Recently, the China Construction Industry Association announced the list of the second batch of China Construction Engineering Luban Award (National Quality Project) in 2022 and 2023, among which the Phoenix Mountain Sports Park (football field and gymnasium) located in Jinniu District was honorably selected.
China Construction Engineering Luban Award (National Quality Project), referred to as Luban Award, is an award guided by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China and selected by the China Construction Industry Association.
Phoenix Mountain Sports Park is an important carrier for the construction of Chengdu World Famous Event City, built by Chengdu Urban Investment Group, and mainly consists of "one stadium, two venues and one center". The main stadium complex includes 60,000 professional football stadiums, 180,000 comprehensive gymnasiums, multi-purpose halls, national fitness centers and supporting land, etc., with a total construction area of about 4560,000 square meters, the venue is equipped with professional software and hardware facilities, which can undertake a variety of activities.
With its outstanding engineering design and architectural aesthetics, Phoenix Mountain Sports Park has won a number of domestic and foreign architectural awards, including the China Steel Structure Gold Award, the first prize of Sichuan Province Excellent Engineering Survey and Design (Public) Architectural Design, and the 2022 China Top 100 Buildings in the New Era.
In the AEC Global Engineering and Construction Industry Excellence BIM Competition held in 2020, Phoenix Mountain Sports Park stood out from more than 260 entries from 35 countries and regions and won the championship, becoming a model of BIM application in the global AEC industryAt the previous 2023 World Structure Awards ceremony, the Phoenix Mountain Sports Park Professional Football Stadium won the 2023 World Structure Award.
In addition to winning international honors, Phoenix Mountain Sports Park has also attracted a lot of attention from overseas architecture. Named one of the world's best educational YouTube channels by The Times, and the world's largest and most subscribed YouTube channel, "The B1M" has covered Phoenix Mountain Sports Park in the form of nearly 8-minute single episodes and feature text stories, calling Phoenix Mountain Sports Park "a global example of community proximity and the use of the game's legacy".
