1. The first ecological day of Haichen Energy Storage: the first three new products and services in the world
On December 12, Xiamen Hichain Energy Storage held the first Hichain Energy Storage Ecological Day in Chongqing. At the same time, the world's first three new energy storage products and services, including the world's first long-term energy storage battery MIC1130 ampere, the first "Hai Na Baichuan" full-stack industrial and commercial energy storage service, and the first affordable inclusive product for energy-poor families - HERO EE. In the future, Haichen Energy Storage will hold an ecological day on December 12 every year, aiming to bring 1212. To become one of the most anticipated product technology release and exchange platforms in the field of energy storage, new energy industry and even net zero emissions.
2. State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Research Institute: Solve the problem of energy storage frequency modulation detection and help the construction of new power systems
On December 4, the State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Research Institute used the self-developed "new energy + energy storage" data recording analyzer to carry out a frequency modulation measurement data analysis and function upgrade, effectively solving the problem of energy storage frequency modulation detection and serving the construction of a new power system. At present, the party member research team has successfully used the instrument to complete a frequency modulation test in Haixudao Energy Storage Power Station, which not only ensures the accuracy and efficiency of the test, but also obtains accurate and reliable data for subsequent network-related detection.
3. The world's first electric molten salt energy storage steam injection test station - a breakthrough in new energy storage technology
On December 6, the world's first electric molten salt energy storage steam injection test station was completed and put into operation in the Liaohe Oilfield in Panjin, Liaoning Province. This marks a breakthrough in China's self-developed new energy storage steam injection technology for electric molten salts from "0 to 1". Compared with the previous molten salt steam power generation system with a comprehensive efficiency of about 35%, Liaohe uses the original steam generation system to reuse softened sewage and heat exchange with high-temperature molten salt to produce 8 megapascals, 295 and 80% of the dryness of wet saturated steam directly for oilfield steam injection production, effectively reducing the process consumption of energy, and the comprehensive efficiency can reach 90%, which is a new attempt to break through the technical application scenarios in this field. The hour-long all-vanadium flow battery energy storage project is about to be built!
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and technology provider InVinity Energy Systems plans to build a 24-hour long-term all-vanadium flow battery energy storage project. The all-vanadium flow battery project (VFB) will be installed at PNNL's Richland campus in Washington, USA. The system is rated at 525 kW and is capable of continuous discharge for 24 hours with a total capacity of 126 MWh. PNNL will evaluate the project's technical performance, which will be used to support the energy resilience of the campus. The project team will start with engineering to determine the best location.
5. Breaking through the limit, the energy storage system products of Zhongchu Technology won the ultra-high altitude
Recently, the liquid-cooled containerized energy storage system products of China Storage Technology Co., Ltd. arrived in the first place, and successfully supplied the energy storage system equipment project of the general contracting project of the 50 MW photovoltaic energy storage power station integration project of the first phase of animal husbandry and photovoltaic complementary projects in Gangba County, Shigatse City, marking that China Storage Technology has overcome the key technology of high-altitude liquid-cooled energy storage system and achieved a major breakthrough in the field of energy storage application at an altitude of 5,000 meters. As one of the first batch of supply guarantee projects, the project is located in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the "third pole of the earth", with an altitude of about 5,000 meters above sea level, a large temperature difference between day and night, strong solar radiation and strong wind. The harsh natural environment undoubtedly brings unprecedented challenges to the construction of energy storage projects and the operation of energy storage systems. In order to ensure the stable operation of the project, the reliability and power generation performance of the energy storage system are crucial.
6. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology launched a new generation of carbon capture technology
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have designed a capture system that utilizes electrochemical cells that can easily capture and release carbon dioxide. This unit operates at room temperature and requires less energy than traditional amine carbon capture systems. Initial tests have shown that the unit retains nearly 95% of its capacity after multiple cycles, making it a viable solution for industrial applications. MIT researchers say the work shows that electrochemical cell alternatives are feasible and could help enable continuous carbon dioxide capture and release technology to be applied in industrial practice.
