Liverpool continue to win big!Jurgen Klopp angrily denounced the offside decision, and the strength

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has criticised the referee's decision to cancel Harvey Elliott's goal in their 2-0 win over Burnley. Liverpool secured their seventh consecutive Boxing Day win through goals from Darwin Nunez and Diego Chota. Despite Nunez's early start to the game, Liverpool were unable to capitalise on the dominance of the first half.

Cody Gap's goal was cancelled out and James Trafford made a couple of saves for Burnley. In the second half, Elliott's brilliant shot was ruled out for offside by Mohamed Salah. Jurgen Klopp said he was frustrated by the situation and said only those who hadn't played football would think it was offside.

He stressed the need for referees to interpret the rules correctly. However, Jurgen Klopp praised the team's performance against Burnley, calling it "incredible" and admitting that the team have had some difficulties in attack lately. Liverpool currently lead the Premier League table, at least until Arsenal's next game. Jurgen Klopp emphasised their ability to overcome challenges and create chances, despite their lack of shooting ability. Liverpool ended their 2023 game against Burnley with a win and will welcome the new year against Newcastle United at Anfield on 1 January.
