Raw surface.
Function description: Generate exterior wall decoration components for all floors in the "Elevation Decoration Layer". At the time of generation, it is divided into wall, beam, cylinder, etc. according to the user's choice.
Menu location: [Decoration] [Facade Decoration] [Raw Surface].
Command codename: sclm
After the command is executed, the Elevation Decoration Generation dialog box pops up, as shown in the figure.
Dialog Options and Actions Explained:
Floors] A list of all floors. Later, the façade decoration or façade opening component will be generated in the floor on which it is checked.
Wall] The number of the façade decoration components that are divided into walls and generated.
Cylindrical Dimension] is divided into the number of the façade decoration members that are generated by the cylindrical surface.
Cylindrical condition (mm)] is divided into cylindrical conditions, that is, it is divided by the distance of the column protruding from the wall, if you select "do not generate", the cylindrical surface will not be formed.
Cylindrical Component Type] The type of component that is classified as a cylindrical surface. That is, the components on the check may be divided into cylindrical surfaces during calculation, and the components that are not checked can only be divided into wall surfaces during calculation.
Beam Face] is divided into the number of the façade decoration members that are divided into beam faces and generated.
Beam surface condition (mm)] is divided into the condition of the beam surface, that is, it is divided by the distance of the beam protruding from the wall, if you select "do not generate", the beam surface will not be formed.
Beam Component Type: The type of component that is divided into beam faces. That is, the components on the check may be divided into beam surfaces during calculation, and the unchecked components can only be divided into wall surfaces during calculation.
Opening] The number of the façade opening component that is divided into the opening and generated.
Generate Openings Components] which components will be generated as surface openings components. The components on the check box will generate the dimensional surface opening component, and the unchecked component will not generate the dimensional surface opening component.
Start Build] Starts a batch process to generate components on the façade trim layer.
Instructions: After checking the interface parameters, the program will analyze whether the selected floor has been previously generated as a façade decoration opening; If there is, the user will be further prompted, as shown in the image.
Dialog Options and Actions Explained:
Floors] A list of all floors that have created a Dimensional Decoration Opening. The story on this check will clear the previously generated façade decoration openings before the surface is generated.
The façade unfolds. Function description: Select the façade decoration component to expand, after the expansion, it is convenient for the user to edit and modify on an unfolded horizontal plane, and finally there will be a command to exit the expansion to feed back the modification result to the façade decoration component, including all modifications of the decorative surface polyline area, practice attribute number, name, etc.
Menu location: [Decoration] [Facade Decoration].
Elevation Unfold] command code: lmzk
Instructions: 1) Select the elevation unfolding member.
1) If you select a façade decoration generated by a single section of sidewalls, the command bar prompts:
Do you perform an unfold on this single piece of decoration?[yes(y)/no(n)]<n>:
Enter y, then the program will search for components according to the projection line of this single segment decoration and expand, and the program will pop up a dialog box to select the story to be expanded; If you enter n, the command bar will prompt:
Select the elevation to expand the end member:
Select another façade decoration component, and if the selection is successful, the program performs a search path.
If there are multiple paths to be searched, the following message is displayed:
Is this the path?[yes(y)/no(n)]<y>:
At this time, a polyline will appear on the screen to represent the current confirmed path, if the user thinks it is right, then enter y, and the program will pop up a dialog box to select the floor to be expanded;Otherwise, enter n and the program will continue to ask questions about another polyline until the user acknowledges a path.
If the intermediate user wants to abort the operation, press the esc key.
2) If you select the façade decoration generated by multi-section sidewalls, the command bar prompts:
Select the elevation to expand the end member:
Select another façade decoration component, and if the selection is successful, the program performs a search path.
If the path is valid, a dialog box will pop up to select the floor you want to expand. If there are multiple paths, ask questions one by one for the user to choose. If there is no valid path, an error message is displayed and the command is exited.
2) The "Facade Decoration Unfold" dialog box pops up, and select the floor you want to expand. As shown in Fig.
Dialog Options and Actions Explained:
Floor] The surface of all floors is found in the floor on which the elevation decoration opening component is checked according to the path determined by the previous analysis, and the façade decoration opening is expanded to the xy plane according to the calculation method that the path is straightened in the positive direction of x, and the elevation and other information are displayed simultaneously, as shown in the figure.
Tip Info Explained:
Spatial slopes, horizontal planes, or openings are not supported for expansion as termination components] When selecting termination components, the selection of façade openings, beam bottoms, and some other non-elevation decorative components is not supported.
If the selected component is not a floor, it cannot be expanded for the time being! The two façade decorations selected are not on the same floor and cannot be expanded for the time being.
The expanded path cannot be found, check if there is a gap between the paths. If the façade decoration generated by different side walls wants to be successfully unfolded at one time, it is required that the side walls are connected from end to end, and the difference is not more than 1mm.
The expanded path could not be found, check to see if some components were deleted by mistake. Some of the underlying operations of some CAD may delete some data. Generally, it will not appear, and if this prompt appears, it may require a regeneration of the surface, otherwise it cannot be expanded.
Closed paths are expanded counterclockwise by default! If the original sidewall member is a closed path, it is only unfolded counterclockwise when unfolded. So, if you want to unfold a closed path in its entirety, select two adjacent edges clockwise.
If the original sidewall component is an unclosed path, the two edges of the selection and all edges in the middle of the two edges are expanded in the direction from the start point to the end.
Facade cutting. Function description: You can use this function if you want to split some façade decorations or merge some façade decorations after the façade is expanded.
Menu location: [Decoration] [Facade Decoration] [Facade Cutting].
Command codename: lmqg
Instructions: 1) Select the decorative surfaces to be split, or [Switch to Merge (S)] At this time, if you enter s, the command will exit, and the next time you open the command, switch to [Select the decorative surfaces to merge], or select the component, the command bar prompts:
Picks the starting point on the split line.
At this time, pick up a point, and the command bar prompts:
The angle at which the split line is picked.
At this time, an elastic line is displayed on the surface, indicating the angle of picking, and after both steps are successful, the previously selected façade decoration or opening is cut into several pieces.
2. Select the decorative surfaces you want to merge, or switch to Split (S).
At this time, if you enter s, the command will exit, and the next time you open the command, switch to [Select decorative surface to split], or select a component. Once selected, the program merges these selected façade decorations or openings into a single component.
Tip Info Explained:
Facade decoration cannot be merged with façade openings! As the literal meaning suggests.
The properties or practices are not the same, do you want to proceed with the merge? If the selected façade decoration or openings have different attributes (referring to other attributes other than "Floor", "Area", "Perimeter", "Grid Information", etc.), or the practice is different, the data will be lost if you continue to merge, so the user is reminded to confirm it.
Regions can't be merged! This is indicated if the selected façade decoration or the multiple lines of the opening do not fit into certain areas.
After the merger, the region is not unique and is not supported at this timeIf you select a polyline for an elevation decoration or opening that combines multiple areas, continuing the execution will result in multiple components that cannot determine a unique property or practice and are not supported.
