In September this year, Huawei officially launched the HarmonyOS native app and announced that the developer preview of HarmonyOS Next will be available to developers in the first quarter of 2024.
This move marks the full self-development of the HarmonyOS Next base, removing the traditional AOSP (Android Open Source Project)** and realizing the so-called "pure-blooded HarmonyOS". To achieve this goal, Huawei plans to invest 10 billion yuan to support the development of partners, covering 18 applications.
At present, a number of mainstream applications have announced adaptation to HarmonyOS native applications (Xiaohongshu, Pinduoduo, Bilibili, Air Travel, DingTalk, AutoNavi, Anjuke, etc.).
According to the latest information published on the official website of Huawei Talents**, the second batch of Huawei's projects for the 2023 Ministry of Education's industry-university cooperation and collaborative education project have been approved and announced, including the Hongmeng project of 16 well-known universities such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Tianjin University, and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
Second batch. Prior to this, 985 universities such as Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Wuhan University have taken the lead in offering courses related to HarmonyOS.
So far, 23 985 universities and 46 211 universities have offered or will soon offer HarmonyOS-related courses, covering the principles of distributed operating systems and HarmonyOS practice, the development of mobile smart terminals based on HarmonyOS, and the practice of AI programming based on HarmonyOS.
