Vin Diesel is accused of sexually assaulting a former female assistant

Vin Diesel, who stars in the Fast & Furious, Redick Legend and Extreme films, has been charged by a former assistant with multiple crimes, including **. Vanity Fair magazine recently obtained documents filed in Los Angeles that included Diesel's former female assistant producer for One Race, Asta Jonasson, who accused Diesel of being guilty of discrimination on the basis of sex, intentionally causing emotional distress, creating a hostile work environment, wrongful termination, retaliation and obstruction of justice. The plaintiffs in the lawsuit include not only Vin Diesel, but also Vin Diesel's sister, One Race president Samantha Vincent, the company itself, and a number of unnamed One Race employees.

The central event of the lawsuit allegedly took place late one night in September 2010 at the St. Regis Hotel. Asta was asked to wait until Diesel had finished entertaining the hostesses he had brought to the hotel from the club. As soon as they left, he made large-scale demands, and Asta repeatedly verbally refused and tried to escape, when the man suddenly attacked her, including imprisoning her against the wall, forcibly touching her breasts and tearing her underwear despite her resistance. A few hours later, Asta was fired by the ** of Samantha Vincent, president of ONE Race and Diesel's sister. Asta claimed that just days before the incident, another boss at One Race had made similar inappropriate teasing of her.

Since the alleged ** incident, Asta has been bound by non-disclosure agreements to remain silent until the passage of the Speak Up Act in 2022, when she filed a lawsuit. The bill allows survivors of sexual violence to bypass nondisclosure agreements and other gag orders to seek justice for crimes committed in or after 2009.

The case is under investigation and more details will be disclosed in the future.
