The new British bodybuilder builds an ultra luxury SUV that will be launched in 2024

A new British brand called Allesley wants to revive the lost art of bodybuilding, designed to cater to the world's elite in need of the most unique cars.

Allesley's first luxury SUV is already in development. The company, which will be unveiled next year, provided a sketch of the side profile. It's not like any modern luxury SUV, but there's a hint of the Aston Martin DBX at the rear, and we can also see a hint of the Bentley Bentayga. Custom vehicles may be based on existing models, despite significant modifications to exterior styling and interior details.

Allesley wants to provide exceptional service to the super-rich. A simple sketch on the page can be transformed into a customized vehicle personalized to the owner's tastes. Aiming to capture the magic of famous coachbuilders such as Mullliner, Hooper and Park Ward, the Coventry-based coachbuilder created custom bodywork for Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

While traditional methods will be used to recreate the luxury and exclusivity of body building, Allesley will also employ complex manufacturing processes. The company has partnered with HPL Prototypes, a trusted Tier 1 OEM that often builds concept cars for automakers.

As a result, Allesley benefited from HPL's expertise and facilities, which included a clay modeling facility, a 5-axis CNC milling machine, and nine build studios. Allesley can even create full-scale foam models for individuals or OEM customers. Customers can choose to have their car's body made of steel or aluminum, but CEO Paul Abercrombie expects most projects to be done with carbon fiber.

Every vehicle produced by Allesley will be built to the tightest tolerances using the XYZ coordination system. This will enable the digital car to be overlaid on the physical car," Abercrombie said.

Our designers can use it to analyze root causes and inspect and measure the car's position relative to CAD to ensure full compliance, accuracy, and quality throughout the process," he added.

Allesley vehicles will be painted in five new paint shops, while interiors will be painted in new wood, leather and trim shops. Customers who prefer eco-friendly alternatives will also be satisfied. Before the vehicle is put into service, the customer will be invited to the company's headquarters to meet with the designer to discuss the choice of paint and materials.

If you can't make it to Coventry, Allesley will send a team to meet with you, hoping to establish a global brand hub over time. The in-person experience separates the luxury car experience from the average car purchase. It's all part of a package, Abercrombie said.

"Part of the fun our customers will have is developing their unique projects with a dedicated Allesley team that will deploy a unique combination of process skills and digital technologies to improve the quality of experience," Abercrombie said. Interestingly, Allesley will allow customers to take a virtual tour of their cars before completion. They can even receive scale models to get a feel for their vehicles.

Allesley wanted to attract the OEM's lucrative business, so to speak, in the external customization division. However, we don't see Bentley or Rolls-Royce outsourcing, as these automakers have their own Mulliner and Coachbuild divisions, with the latter responsible for the manufacture of two gorgeous droptails earlier this year.

The company says it is "carefully calibrated" to assist supercar and luxury car companies with low-volume production. Despite being a new company, the people behind Allesley have decades of experience and expertise.

We look forward to seeing what is to come to Allesley and we hope that its first creation will be as special as promised.
