"My father never cared about me, can I not pay alimony? ”

The answer is: No!!

Biological children have a legal obligation to raise and support each other, and this obligation is not changed by any circumstances or reason.

Parents whose adult children do not fulfill their maintenance obligations, lack the ability to work, or have difficulties in living have the right to demand alimony from their adult children.

In the following three situations, children do not need to support their parents!

1.Unmarried or divorced adult children who have no financial income, are unable to work or are unable to live independently.

2.Married adult children.

They have no economic income and their family's income is not enough to maintain the basic standard of living in the local area.

3.Parents have committed serious crimes against their children.

For example, if a parent commits an act of killing a child, abusing a child, abandoning a child, or forcibly taking a daughter, etc., the child loses the right to be supported by the child, and the child can be exempted from the obligation of support.

Note: The first and second circumstances are exempted from the obligation to pay, but the obligation of care and spiritual condolences in life cannot be exempted!

Having children is not a return on investment, and children should not tie the obligation of maintenance to the benefits obtained!!
