"Cervical cancer has always been a malignant tumor that threatens women's health, and after so many years of efforts, China has made great achievements in the prevention and control of cervical cancer. On the basis of summarizing years of work, the National Health Commission, together with ten departments including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and the Ministry of Finance, jointly formulated and issued the Action Plan for Accelerating the Elimination of Cervical Cancer (2023-2030), establishing a multi-departmental mechanism for comprehensive prevention and control of cervical cancer, and accelerating the process of cervical cancer elimination in China. On December 15, the launching ceremony of the project of "Eliminating Cervical Cancer, Health Science Popularization" was held at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Health Management Forum and the 15th Annual Conference of the Beijing Health Management Association. At the meeting, the Beijing Health Management Association announced the launch of the "Elimination of Cervical Cancer, Health Science Popularization", which was guided by the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and hosted by the Beijing Health Management Association.

With the acceleration of China's economic and social development, industrialization and urbanization, and the rapid changes in residents' living environment and lifestyle, the incidence of cervical cancer continues to increase and shows a younger trend. The main cause of cervical cancer is persistent infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV), which exceeds 84 in China5% of cervical cancers are associated with HPV16 and HPV18 virus infection. Through vaccinating young women against cervical cancer, carrying out cervical cancer screening among women of appropriate age, timely preventive measures such as cancerous lesions of cervical cancer and cervical cancer, focusing on the functional positioning of the capital, adhering to the priority of maternal and child health, focusing on the new development pattern of maternal and child health, and improving the comprehensive prevention and treatment mechanism of cervical cancer that is leading, coordinated by departments and participated by society. Jin Yingnan mentioned that he hoped that the Education Commission, the Women's Federation and other relevant institutions could actively participate in the association's projects, and jointly bring popular science publicity activities into various enterprises, institutions, schools, communities and villages, so as to continuously improve the health literacy of women, eliminate cervical cancer, and protect women's health.
