On the occasion of the arrival of the winter solstice, the traditional Chinese solar term, Shanggeer Village, Langjiazhuang Township, Quyang County, the snow on the mountain has not completely melted, but the hearts of the villagers are warm. On December 22, the village-based team of Hebei Vocational College carried out the activity of "welcoming the winter solstice and eating dumplings", and sent care and warmth to the hearts of the villagers with practical actions.

Plates of steaming dumplings are out of the pot, strong emotions are filled in the air with the burst of aroma of dumplings, everyone sits together to taste the dumplings with pork filling, chatting while eating, and the scene is a happy and peaceful atmosphere.

After visiting and researching during the village, the team of Hebei Vocational College found that most of the young people in the village went out to work, and there were many elderly people living alone, and most of the elderly people were about to eat well, so the team came up with the idea of creating a "love canteen", aiming to provide nutritious and balanced meals for the elderly, children and other people with reduced mobility in rural areas to ensure that they can eat hot meals every day. The love canteen adopts the model of "stationing units to make up a little, donating a little to the society, and paying a little for individuals", with 5 yuan per meal for those under 60 years old, 2 yuan per meal for those over 60-80 years old, and free for those over 80 years old. The "small rice bowl" is filled with "big people's livelihood", and the old people eat hot dumplings, and they have said that they have caught up with the party's good policies, so that everyone can feel the warmth of the big family in the cold winter, so that the vulnerable groups can get more warmth and care, and at the same time, they also pull in the feelings between neighbors, harmonize the relationship between neighbors, and let the neighborhood love continue to pass on in the hot dumplings.

Shanggeer Village is located in the depths of the Taihang Mountains, at the end of the highway, and is only separated by a mountain from Futashi Village and Hushan Scenic Area in Fanjiazhuang Township, which was once a poor village for many years. In 2016, the village-based team of Hebei Vocational College settled in Shanggeer Village, Quyang, to build roads and bridges, build cultural squares, focus on party building to promote poverty alleviation, and improve industries to promote employment ......Through the implementation of targeted assistance, the poverty alleviation task of Shanggeer Village in Quyang County has been effectively promoted, and Shanggeer Village was lifted out of poverty at the end of 2017. At the beginning of 2018, while consolidating the results of poverty alleviation, the task force began to plan the prevention of poverty regression, explore and improve the long-term mechanism for preventing poverty regression and poverty, improve the pertinence of poverty prevention and poverty alleviation, and consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation.

Chen Guosheng, the first secretary of the Hebei Vocational College in Shanggeer Village, said: Small canteen, big people's livelihood, from 'difficult to eat' to 'eat well', the next step of the Shanggeer village team will continue to do a good job in the construction of "love canteen", adhere to the principle of doing good things, work long-term mechanism, long-term maintenance, and practical results, and make every effort to build a "love canteen" to serve the masses Demonstration model, starting with a hot meal, and building the canteen into a practical thing that warms the hearts of the people, gathers people's hearts, and benefits the people's livelihood.
