Yu Huixi's first 20 years of painting should be similar to most art creators—creating, sending exhibitions to the Artists Association, joining the Artists Association, and so on. But then he slowly found that he was walking on this road very difficult: it was difficult for the works he had worked so hard to create to enter the provincial exhibition, and the national exhibition was not heard from at all. There are two reasons for this: on the one hand, the subject matter of his works does not conform to the mainstream style, and secondly, he pursues formal recognition and ignores the maturity of traditional techniques.
Since then, he has been exposed to a large number of Western contemporary art, and has also found a suitable way of expression from a variety of works: how to feel a unique, non-figurative "shape" from the speech and demeanor of ordinary people, and after exploration, use acrylic paint to capture and shape"shape". Then around the "shape", he looked for and felt a kind of "field" unique to the character, which he likes to use acrylic marker to sketch some chaotic and orderly lines to express.
Finally, when the work basically reaches the kind of image scene in his heart, he will use oil paint to adjust some details and background parts, and the next time he creates other works, this work will be placed in front of him for a period of time, ** look uncomfortable and adjust it in time. Since then, a painting that has been very characteristic of his personal style has been completed.
