Lu Xun and Chiang Kai-shek, can be called the two giants of modern history of Zhejiang, from Shaoxing to Fenghua, the distance is only 130 kilometers, and it takes an hour and a half to drive.
However, the relationship between these two Zhejiang villagers is both simple and complicated.
To put it simply, because the two rarely intersect, Lu Xun almost never mentioned Chiang Kai-shek in the article, and Chiang Kai-shek has been in a high position for many years and has never promoted Lu Xun, and the two don't seem to know each other.
It is not unfounded to say that it is complicated, because Lu Xun has scolded countless people, but he has never scolded Chiang Kai-shek, the biggest reactionary, and Lu Xun has always been against the Kuomintang, has been wanted for 6 years, and has also been on the assassination blacklist of the military commanders, but he has always been safe and sound, who has so much energy to protect him?One cannot help but suspect that there is Chiang Kai-shek's "credit".
As early as February 1930, Lu Xun, Roushi, Feng Xuefeng and others initiated the establishment of the Great Alliance of the Chinese Freedom Movement in Shanghai, openly opposing the rule of the Nanjing Nationals, and soon developed to more than 50 branches in Nanjing, Tianjin, Wuhan and other places, with a very strong momentum.
This incident naturally attracted the attention of the Kuomintang, and a wanted warrant was issued to Lu Xun and others.
On February 7, 1931, five left-wing writers, including Roushi, Hu Yepin, Yin Fu, Li Weisen, and Feng Keng, were killed by the KuomintangOn the same day, Long Dadao, chairman of the Grand Alliance of the Chinese Freedom Movement, was also killed by the Kuomintang at the age of 30.
This is the famous "Longhua **", a total of 24 revolutionaries died.
Under the white terror, many people are very worried about Lu Xun's safety, many newspapers, including the famous "Ta Kung Pao", have also published the news of "Lu Xun **", but Lu Xun has been safe and sound, and his life has hardly been affected.
Did the Kuomintang not know Lu Xun's address?Of course not, the military commander's spies who specialize in assassination are not vegetarians, Dai Li's proud ** Shen drunk once received an order to assassinate Lu Xun, and he also ambushed in the house opposite Lu Xun's house for several days, but in the end he still didn't start.
When Shen was drunk in his later years, he said that it was because he respected Lu Xun very much that he would rather disobey the order than do it. But how credible is this claim?
Shen Zui is one of the "four killers of the military command", he has killed countless people, and many people with a higher status than Lu Xun have been killedIs it so easy to disobey Dai Li's order?
Moreover, from the issuance of the wanted warrant in 1930 to Lu Xun's death in 1936, this wanted warrant has not been revoked and has always been valid, why has Lu Xun never been caught?
Over the years, people have had many explanations, mainly two, one is because Lu Xun's reputation is too high, and the Kuomintang does not dare to kill him;The other is that Lu Xun has many friends to protect him, such as Cai Yuanpei, Song Qingling and other big names.
Let's talk about the first one first, Lu Xun's reputation is high, but as long as Chiang Kai-shek gives a must-kill order, who else will not dare to kill the military commanders?
Shi Liangcai, general manager of the declaration, Li Gongpu, and Wen Yiduo, leaders of the Democratic League, are not much worse than Lu Xun in terms of social status and influence, and they were all killed by the military commander's spies
Not to mention these cultural celebrities, even Feng Yuxiang and Zhang Lan are higher-status bigwigs, aren't the military commander's spies also unceremonious to them?Even if you don't dare to kill blatantly, won't you create an accident?Any car accident or a fire can achieve the goal.
Therefore, the military commander's spies obeyed Chiang Kai-shek's orders, and as long as Chiang Kai-shek gave the order, there was no one they would not dare to kill.
Of course, there are exceptions, such as Song Qingling. Chiang Kai-shek once wanted to get rid of her, but after all, Song Meiling and Song Qingling are sisters, and the broken bones are still connected to the tendons, so he warned Chiang Kai-shek, don't beat my second sister's idea, otherwise, you will die an ugly death!
However, if it were Lu Xun, would Song Meiling still speak for him?Don't even think about it!
This involves another topic: many people say that because Lu Xun was protected by Cai Yuanpei, Song Qingling and others, Chiang Kai-shek did not dare to do anything to him. As I said just now, Chiang Kai-shek even dared to move Song Qingling, would he still care about her protecting Lu Xun?
In the final analysis, if Chiang Kai-shek really wanted to kill someone, only one person could stop him, and that was Soong Meiling, and no one else could do it.
Therefore, there is only one reason why Lu Xun can always be safe and sound and die right, that is, Chiang Kai-shek did not want to kill him at all.
Moreover, Chiang Kai-shek not only did not want to kill Lu Xun, but also always wanted to win him over and use him for my use.
As early as December 1930, someone complained to Chiang Kai-shek that Lu Xun, who served in the Ministry of Education, was the founder of the Grand Alliance of the Chinese Freedom Movement, and that he should be removed from his post in the Ministry of Education.
However, after hearing this, Chiang Kai-shek said magnanimously:"That's good. Do you know that there are any old colleagues and friends in the Ministry of Education who have made good friends with him?You should send such a man to him and tell him that I know this and am glad to know it. I've always admired him and wanted to meet him. As long as he is willing to go to Japan to live for a while, not only can he be released from the arrest warrant, but his position will of course be retainedAnd if you have other ideas, you can do it. ”
It can be seen that Chiang Kai-shek admired Lu Xun very much, and as long as he agreed to live in Japan for some time, he could not blame the past, not only was he released from the wanted warrant, but his post in the Ministry of Education could also be retained.
However, Lu Xun did not agree, so he resigned from the Ministry of Education, and the wanted warrant has been retained.
However, Chiang Kai-shek has never given up on Lu Xun's wooing, in 1936, Lu Xun's illness became more and more serious, Chiang Kai-shek also sent someone to tell Lu Xun that he could be sent to Japan for treatment, and the required expenses were paid by **.
However, Lu Xun still did not agree, and finally died of illness on October 19, 1936, at the age of 55.
This incident also once again proves Lu Xun's noble integrity, and in the face of Chiang Kai-shek's co-optation, even if he dies, he will never act for the tiger!
Before dying, Lu Xun also jokingly said to his friend Uchiyama Wanzo:"My days in the future won't be too long, and the wanted warrant that followed me for ten years (should be six years) is revoked, I will be lonely, so let's not revoke it. ”
It can be seen that Lu Xun didn't care about this wanted notice, and he didn't forget to ridicule his fellow countryman before he died.
