According to the US news **axios16**, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed and Israeli intelligence and secret service (Mossad) director David Barnea held talks in a European city on the same day to discuss matters such as the resumption of ceasefire talks between the two sides of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to promote the restoration of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the continued release of detainees. According to the report, this is the first time that senior leaders of Qatar and Israel have held talks on the Palestinian-Israeli situation since the two sides of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip on December 1.

The report quoted sources as saying that the talks were "just the beginning of further negotiations" and stressed that the process would be "long, difficult and complicated". The heads of the US ** intelligence service and the Egyptian intelligence services also heard briefings on the meeting.

Under the mediation of Qatar and other countries, Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) implemented a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on November 24 local time, and exchanged detainees. However, since 1 December, the two sides have resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip.
