I would like to commemorate the 130th anniversary of ***'s birth with this article

In 1945, Wang Baocheng was transferred from the front-line teaching brigade to the guard squad as the deputy squad leader, and followed him until the liberation of the country. Not only witnessed the heroic strategy of the Chinese Revolution, but also saw with his own eyes the nurturing teachings of this loving father towards his children, revealing the little-known family life of the giant in the Yan'an period.

Please see, the old Red Army Wang Baocheng recalled:

The father-son relationship

Liu Zhiqiang

Give Mao Anying a hoe to open up the wasteland

In January 1946, Mao Anying returned to Yan'an by plane with the doctors sent to Yan'an by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, and went to the airport to greet him in person despite the severe cold. This is the reunion of father and son after 18 long absences. The guards thought that the father and son had been reunited for a long time, and the chairman must be very hospitable and arrange a good job for his son. On the same day, after listening to Mao Anying's report on studying abroad, the chairman only instructed three side dishes to be fried on the stove and served rice, which was considered a banquet. When talking about work, the chairman said to Mao Anying: "First go to the grassroots level to work and exercise, I think, from here on the back of two buckets of millet, to the Wujia Zaoyuan model worker Wu Manyou's home to work and exercise, and then come back." After speaking, the chairman found a hoe and gave it to Mao Anying personally, and found the old clothes he worn, and told him: "You can eat whatever your fellow countryman eats, don't be afraid of the sun, don't be afraid of tanning, don't be afraid of peeling off your back, and set an example, because everyone knows that you are the son of ***." And asked him to carry the millet on his back, the luggage on his back, and the hoe when he went, and not to call a car to send it. Go on foot on your own. After the news spread in Yan'an at that time, many leaders and comrades said that the chairman had gone too far and suggested that the chairman leave his son in the office as an interpreter. At that time, the authorities did need a Russian translator, and the chairman had to read a lot of books in Russian, but the chairman insisted on his opinion.

When Anying was leaving, he went to the guard squad to say goodbye, and the soldiers of the guard squad calculated that Anying had ten pounds of things on his back, and he had to walk dozens of miles of mountain roads, and no matter how strong his body was, he couldn't stand it on foot. The guard Xiao Li said wittily, "Otherwise, you can put your things on your back and ride a horse." There was a burst of laughter. Just as everyone helped Mao Anying pack up and prepare to go on the road, Ye Zilong (**'s secretary) came, he did Anying's work, and arranged for the guard squad to send a soldier to send him to Wujia Zaoyuan.

"Three nos" to Xiao Li Ne

In the early forties, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was in a difficult period, and ** and ** other leaders worked all night. At that time, Li Ne's mother and son were approved to live in the Yan'an Zaoyuan cave. Li Ne is innocent and lively, smart and clever, and the chairman likes it very much. One day, Li Ne and the guards played hide and seek, and unintentionally alarmed the chairman's office, and the chairman found Li Na and the nanny, saying: During working hours, they are not allowed to enter the office, second, they are not allowed to shout in the yard, and third, they are not allowed to play with the soldiers at the sentry station. The three "prohibitions" really scared the not very sensible Li Ne. From then on, most of the time, Li Ne quietly played outside the cave to catch ants, catch insects, pull grass, build houses, skip rope, rarely shout, even if he saw soldiers on duty at the post, he rarely ran to pull soldiers to play;Sometimes I really miss my father, so I run to the door of the chairman's office and stand quietly for a while. But for an hour after dinner, the chairman always found time to take Li Na out for a walk, telling her fairy tales and fables of small animals as he went. When Li Ne was happy to hear this, he asked the chairman to catch the bird. When she was tired from walking, the chairman hugged her, sometimes holding her up with both hands, swinging back and forth to play "swing", sometimes throwing her above her head, making Li Na "giggle". Such "treatment" is not available every day, and if the chairman goes out to run errands or is busy with work, Li Ne is still turned away. The chairman's loving and strict requirements for children, meeting children's requirements and not pampering them left an unforgettable impression on the staff around him.

"The chairman's doll can't be 'special'."

Caring for the people more than caring for oneself is the consistent behavior of the people. In the winter, ** fell ill and the doctor asked for isolation**. At that time, Li Ne suddenly left her mother, she was very unaccustomed to it, and often cried for her mother. Due to his weak body, he fell ill twice in three days, either diarrhea or fever and cold. Once, Li Ne suffered from influenza fever for several days, and the doctor recommended that he be sent to the pediatric department of ** hospital for diagnosis and treatment by Dr. Hou Jiancun. At that time, Wang Baocheng thought that the chairman was very familiar with the director-in-waiting, and wouldn't it be better if he could write a note? When he told the chairman what he thought, he was criticized not only without the chairman's approval. The chairman said, "The chairman's doll can't be special, doctors have the duties of doctors, and I have *** work, just do your duty, this article can't be opened." When Wang Baocheng sent Li Ne to the hospital before leaving, the chairman repeatedly told him not to play his brand and make such and such requests after going to the hospital. However, not long after the incident, the child of Comrade Wu Jiqing, who had served as the chairman's bodyguard, fell ill, but the chairman made an exception and issued a "letter of introduction."

In the 40s, in Yan'an, the food, clothing, and daily necessities of the personnel of the organs and units were provided with quantitative standards. The chairman eats in Xiaozao according to the regulations and standards, and other relatives and children in the family eat according to the standard in the large canteen. Milk** is also separated by standard. **After being hospitalized, because the nanny could not cook some meals, or the food did not fit well, Li Ne was not used to eating and was often hungry. The nanny was anxious to find the guard squad and asked to buy some cookies for the child. Wang Baocheng, who was the deputy squad leader of the guard at the time, thought that the chairman had saved some special expenses and spent a little from them, so he suggested to the chairman, and the chairman said solemnly: "How can it be done, what about the children of other cadres, there are many children whose parents are not in Yan'an, and there are no parents to take care of them?"I think she has a good life, and a nanny, what to do and what to eat, don't be pampered, you must develop a good habit of saving food, being thrifty, not paying attention, and being able to endure hardships from an early age. Finally, the chairman also told Wang Baocheng to convey to the relevant comrades that they should ensure the food and clothing of the martyrs' children.

In 1949, the ** agency moved from Xiangshan to Zhongnanhai, and Li Ne had grown into a little girl by this time. Comrade Wang Baocheng, who was assigned to be in charge of the construction of Zhongnanhai, was surveying and discussing construction matters with Comrade Keli at a pavilion near Zhongnanhai outside Juxiang Academy, when they saw a group of students returning, some wearing floral clothes, some wearing new-style **, five and six colors, each showing their own colors. The sharp-eyed Li Ne saw Wang Baocheng politely running out of the crowd to say hello, and when Wang Baocheng saw that Li Ne was still wearing coarse cloth clothes from the Yan'an period, he smiled puzzled and asked her, "Why hasn't it changed, wearing such clothes." Li Ne lowered her head shyly and said, "My father said that it is still very difficult, and it is necessary to dress like ordinary children, and not to be allowed to wear good clothes."

(Author's note: When he was a press officer in the army, he interviewed Wang Baocheng, a security guard, and the story he told about his love for his children and strict requirements is still fresh in his memory, and the great man's feelings for his family and country will always be worthy of admiration by future generations.)
