There are three main classifications of walnut oil:
1.Plain Walnut Oil: Extracted from English walnut kernels, it has a strong walnut flavor and is commonly used in edibles, such as salad dressings, cooking, and baking.
2.Black Walnut Oil: Extracted from black walnut kernels, it has a stronger walnut flavor and a special nutty aroma. It is often used in the culinary and gastronomy fields, but it is often used as a flavoring agent with care due to its strong flavor.
3.Pecan Oil: Extracted from pecan kernels, it has a relatively light flavor and is suitable for cooking and baking. It doesn't have a strong flavor like regular walnut oil, but it still has a nutty aroma.
When identifying walnut oil, it can be carried out from the following two aspects:
Observe the color: good walnut oil is generally light yellow, clear and transparent, and free of impurities.
Smell it: Good walnut oil has no odor other than the fragrance of walnuts themselves. If there is a peculiar smell, it means that the walnut oil has gone bad or has been adulterated with other ingredients.
Each type of walnut oil has its own unique characteristics and applications, and the choice of which walnut oil to choose depends mainly on the individual's taste preferences and usage needs.
