Today's people often use the words "unfilial piety" and "unfilial piety" interchangeably, and "unfilial descendants" is therefore understood as unfilial descendants. In fact, "unscrupulousness" has nothing to do with unfilial piety.
"Saying Wen Jie Zi" contains: "Xiao, flesh and blood are similar. "What do you mean by "flesh and blood"?The flesh is visible, but the bones are not, so the word "Xiao" not only describes the similarity in appearance, but also describes the similarity in essential characteristics. Xu Shen then explained: "It's not like the first, so it's not good." Unlike his ancestors, hence the name "unscrupulous".

In his commentary to the Book of Rites, the Eastern Han scholar Zheng Xuan explained: "Xiao, likely, not likely, is inferior to others. Zheng Xuan means that the son is inferior to the father. The Son is inferior to the Father, so "unscrupulous" is extended to mean impartiality.
The Book of Rites: "Confucius said: 'How can a shooter shoot?'"Why listen?Follow the sound and send without losing the righteousness, its meritocracy! If the husband is not a good person, then he will be able to be in the middleThe center of the target is called the hoof. The meaning of this passage is: How does the archer make the archery and the ** match? And how to make ** and archery match?Launch according to the beat of **, launch out and hit the bull's-eye, probably only a sage can do it!If it's a bad person, can he talk about shooting? The ancients often put "virtuous" and "unscrupulous" against each other, that is, the "sage" and "unscrupulous person" in Confucius's passage, which shows that "unscrupulous" means unvirtuous and unsuccessful.
In the chapter "Heaven and Earth" in Zhuangzi: The Outer Chapter, there is a clearer explanation of "unscrupulous": "Filial sons do not disobey their relatives, loyal ministers do not discede their kings, and courtiers are prosperous." What you say is true, and what you do is good, then the world is not good; What the king says is true, what he does is good, then the world is said to be unscrupulous. The meaning of this passage is that a dutiful son does not flatter his father and mother, and a loyal servant does not flatter his king, which is the highest virtue among the ministers and the sons of man. Parents think what they say is right, and they think they do it well, this is what the world calls a bad child; The king thinks what he says is right, and he thinks what he does is good, which is what the world calls an unscrupulous minister.
Guo Xiang, a scholar of the Western Jin Dynasty, commented: "This is against the custom and follows the monarch's relatives, so it is commonly said to be unscrupulous." Obviously, to obey the king and parents in violation of the prevailing principles of the world is called "unscrupulousness." According to the usual saying, obedience to parents is called filial piety, but "what the relatives say, what they do is good", what the parents say is right, and what they do is considered good, such a person is called "unfilial piety", it can be seen that "unfilial piety" has nothing to do with unfilial piety, but refers to not being successful.
Qing Dynasty scholar Wang Yingkui's "Liu Nan Continued Writing" has an article on "UnXiaozi", which reads: "In this world, the son of the Son of God is used in mourning, and it is called 'Unshaw'. After the death of his parents, the son called himself "Buxiaozi" during the mourning period, which is not a self-professed disobedience, but in fact, it is a word of self-humility, which means that self-humility is not successful. Wang Yingkui then questioned: Today's scholars and doctors don't understand this meaning, all the posts written by the Zhongke A and the eunuchs are renamed "unfilial" who are not filial, you have passed the imperial examination and still claim to be unfilial, you are an official and still claim to be unfilial, isn't it clear that your parents are not as good as yourself? Moreover, according to the provisions of the ritual, during the mourning period, they call themselves mourning sons and grandsons, and when they sacrifice, they call themselves filial sons and grandsons, and they never claim to be unfilial. Moreover, the punishment is three thousand, and the sin is greater than unfilial piety, how can one claim to be unfilial!Wang Yingkui's questioning is very reasonable, it can be seen that "unscrupulous" is a word of self-humility, self-humility is not a talent, and it must not be mixed with unfilial "unfilial piety".
In the book "Northern Dream Trivia" written by Sun Guangxian, a poet in the Tang and Song dynasties, he said: "There are three changes in the children of Buxiao: the first becomes a locust, which is called a village and eats; The second becomes a silverfish, which is called a book and eats it;The third becomes a big worm, which is said to sell slaves and maids and eat. "鬻" means to sell. There are three changes in the sons of Buxiao: the first becomes locusts, sits on empty mountains, and feeds on the sale of the manor left by their father; The second became silverfish, the silverfish in the books, and fed on the books left behind by his fatherThe third becomes a big worm, and feeds on slaves and maids, and of course it is a vicious tiger if it is sold for food. Sun Guangxian sighed: "The generation of three foods, how can there be no generation." As the saying goes, "no more than three generations of wealth" means.
This is a sharp satire on the children who do not become adults, but it has nothing to do with the "unfilial piety" of unfilial piety. (ENDS).
