The announcement detailed that according to the exchange of letters agreement between China and six countries, including Angola, Gambia, Congo (DRC), Madagascar, Mali and Mauritania, starting from December 25, 2023, 98% of the tariff products of these countries will enter China to enjoy zero-tariff treatment.

The reporter learned from the conversation with the Office of the Customs Tariff Commission on the 6th that the tariff adjustment is aimed at further deepening the economic cooperation between China and the above-mentioned countries, and it is also a specific action for China to actively fulfill its international obligations and help the least developed countries develop their economies and improve people's livelihood.

At the same time, the office also revealed that in the future, China will gradually give zero tariff treatment to 98% of the tariff items of all least developed countries that have established diplomatic relations with China according to the progress of the exchange of letters with other least developed countries.
