Wang Qingyuan, a native of Guoyu Village, Yeyuan Town, Linqu County. In his early years, he joined the army and successively served as a typist, a confidential officer, an officer, a secretary, a director of the political department, a deputy political commissar, and the secretary of the party committee of the enterprise. He is currently the deputy inspector of the Qinghai Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the chairman of the Qinghai Provincial Calligraphy Association, the director of the China Calligraphy Association, and the deputy director of the Industrial Development Committee of the China Calligraphy Association.
His calligraphy works have been selected for many calligraphy exhibitions organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Calligraphy Association. Many calligraphy works have been collected by the National Art Museum of China, Hong Kong New Frontier Publishing House, Guizhou Provincial Museum, Qinghai Provincial Archives, etc., and many works have been engraved on tablets and stones. He has published more than 20 calligraphy reviews in newspapers and periodicals at or above the provincial level, and his calligraphy has been selected for two national calligraphy theory seminars. In 2002, he was rated as a member of "Virtue and Art".
Wang Qingyuan's military career of more than 20 years, more than 20 cold and summer winds, frosts, snow and moons, swords, guns, swords, halberds, crawling and rolling. That arrogance, a body of dust, can it be said that it has nothing to do with his calligraphy cultivation? The majestic atmosphere of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the polishing experience of the snow-capped mountains and deserts, the eagle striking the sky, and the grass singing in the wilderness, that school of primitiveness, the vicissitudes of life, can it be said that it has nothing to do with the connotation of his calligraphy?
The military career has nothing to do with light singing and dancing;Military life is insulated from pretentiousness; The military is the truest trajectory of life. The trajectories revealed in his calligraphy have their own broad and authentic background. To follow a military dedication is selflessness;Obeying the expression of a calligraphy art is having me. Between me and no-self, above no-self and me, the mystery of his calligraphy can only be understood, and it is difficult to say.
In Wang Qingyuan's calligraphy works, we can clearly see the shadow of the previous calligraphy masters. Wang Qingyuan's calligraphy works seem to have a simple and naïve taste, is he spontaneous or intentional? Is it the mood, or is it the pursuit of chic?It seems to be, and it doesn't seem to be. Looking at his calligraphy, you sometimes feel that you are talking to an ancient farmer, and sometimes you feel that you are playing chess with an ancient philosopher, a kind of intimate distance, which brings you closer and farther away, and pushes and closes seem to be in the same thought.
