How to select and employ people in a unit has a guiding role. After I took up my post in the brigade, I always felt that the selection and promotion of cadres should be a bit of a big move, so that the enthusiasm of cadres at all levels and all types of cadres could be fully aroused.
The first is publicity. The vacancies of cadres are made public, so that the whole brigade knows what needs to be filled and what needs to be adjusted. The selection criteria are open to the public, so that everyone knows who meets the criteria and who is recommended is the most suitable. The process of appointment is made public, and officers and men can clearly see what work is done at all levels at every step.
The second is fairness. Adhere to the same treatment, do not engage in distant relatives. Adhere to a unified standard, a ruler to measure the length.
Again, justice. Cadres recognized by officers and men, cadres with outstanding performance, cadres with special contributions, and cadres with development potential should be selected and put in appropriate positions for rational use.
In less than three years, the cadres of the artillery brigade have been replaced by the old and the new, and the average age is three to five years younger than that of the cadres of the emergency unit of the group army.
The Lanzhou Military Region organized the cadres and division chiefs of the Xinjiang and 47 th Group Army, and the cadres and regiment chiefs of the divisions, brigades, and regiments of the 21 st Group Army to hold an on-site meeting on cadre work in the brigade to observe the entire process of selecting and matching cadres and summing up relevant experience.
Fifteen years later, the selection of cadres of our brigade has shown unexpected results, and a large number of comrades have taken up leading posts such as the main regiment, deputy division, and full division.
