Bentley Motors has just taken another step towards reducing pollution at its UK headquarters in Crewe with the introduction of two all-electric vehicles in its fleet of First Response Teams. These vehicles handle daily activities, including medical emergencies. Of course, since Bentley is part of the Volkswagen Group but does not yet have its own electric cars, it decided to use two from Volkswagen.
Volkswagen IDBuzz and ID3 (not sold in the United States) all received a special livery, labeling them as Bentley First Response Team vehicles. We especially like the Buzz, which wraps the bottom half in red to match the ID3 And create a two-tone look. This isn't the first person to get a livery, as we've seen electric vans turn into Porsche service vans (probably the coolest jobs to date) as well as delivery vans for Nike shoes. To complete the look, both cars are equipped with Bentley wings and emergency ** numbers, while IDThe buzz is equipped with sirens and light bars.
Edit Search Edit Search Bentley said, id3 Will focus on medical emergencies, off-site activities, and routine work. Since it's bigger, idBuzz cargo will handle emergency equipment. Both cars will adhere to Bentley's HQ's 10mph speed limit and won't face the same transmission pressure as their diesel predecessors. These diesel cars used 333 gallons of fuel in a year, which has now been reduced to zero. Bentley can also charge two vehicles using one of 107 field chargers powered by more than 36,000 solar panels.
As part of the Beyond100 strategy, Bentley's First Response Fleet uses electric vehicles to help the company achieve its environmental goals. The plan ultimately enables Bentley to achieve end-to-end carbon neutrality by 2030, which includes building its first electric car by 2026. The brand is also breaking ground on new facilities in Crewe, which are more environmentally friendly.
Edit SearchBentley is the first UK automaker to operate a carbon-neutral factory, and these new First Response Team vehicles are just another step towards the company's goal of creating a cleaner world. The Crewe plant uses 100% renewable energy, and Bentley even wants to turn it into a climate-friendly plant that can reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere by 2030. It will achieve this with eco-friendly additional features such as a water recycling system for the paint shop, local tree planting, and solar panels.
We're excited to see Bentley's first electric car in 2026, as the company promises it will accelerate fast enough to make passengers sick.
