The seminar was the first important meeting after the establishment of the Student Development Guidance Branch of the Chinese Society of Education.

At the opening ceremony, Zhong Binglin, member of the National Education Advisory Committee, former president of Beijing Normal University, and former president of the Chinese Society of Education, proposed in his speech that he hoped that the branch would focus on the fundamental task of cultivating people with virtue, focus on the all-round development of students' morality, intelligence, physical fitness, art and labor, and actively carry out theoretical research and practical exploration of student development guidance, so as to provide more and better intellectual support for decision-making, educational development and student growth.

Lin Chongde, a senior professor at Beijing Normal University and general adviser of the National Expert Committee on the Construction of Teacher Ethics and Teaching Style, emphasized that it is necessary to pay attention to the physical and mental development of students, especially the physiological changes of studentsIt is necessary to grasp the development needs of students, take into account the new needs of students' growth and the contradictions and changes between their original level, so as to promote students' development and social development.

Yang Yinfu, vice president and secretary general of the Chinese Society of Education, pointed out that student development guidance is an important part of building high-quality basic education, and it is necessary to adhere to the people-oriented principle and highlight the main position of studentsStudents should be taught according to their aptitude and respect the individual differences of students;It is necessary to adhere to the coordination of "home, school and society" and form a joint work force.

Wang Hui, former director of the Department of Higher Education Students of the Ministry of Education, said that he hoped that the Student Development Guidance Branch would strengthen theoretical research, and build a theoretical system of student development guidance with Chinese characteristics on the basis of actively learning Xi learning from international cutting-edge research results and combining with domestic realityTo respond to the needs of reality, schools, academic organizations, families and society should work together to solve the problems of student development.

Luo Liang, director of the Department of Psychology of Beijing Normal University, said that the Department of Psychology of Beijing Normal University will take student development guidance as an important field to strengthen theoretical research and practical exploration, fully support the work of the student development guidance branch, and promote the prosperity and development of the field of student development.

In the keynote speech, Shen Jiliang, former deputy director of the Second Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, former deputy director of the Textbook Bureau of the Ministry of Education, and professor of Beijing Normal University, shared the current situation of middle school students' mental health, the problems and motivations of students' growth, and future research suggestions in this field. Qiao Zhihong, Chairman of the Student Development Guidance Branch of the Chinese Society of Education, introduced the policy evolution of student development guidance in China, the specific practice of current student development guidance, and suggestions for future work.

Wang Xiaoyan, vice president and secretary general of the Student Development Guidance Branch of the Chinese Society of Education, gave a speech entitled "Methods, Paths and Mechanisms for Social Practice to Promote Students' All-round Development", which highlighted the importance of social practice education in student development, and proposed to explore the ways of social practice education and build a social practice education system. Professor Xue Gui, Professor of the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Xi, Faculty of Psychology, Beijing Normal University, and Lin Xiuyun, Vice Chairman of the Student Development Guidance Branch, Executive Vice Dean of the Graduate School of South China Normal University, and Professor of the Faculty of Psychology of Beijing Normal University, shared their views respectively.

In the subsequent parallel sub-forum session, more than 80 experts and scholars from the education field conducted in-depth analysis and discussion from four levels: mental health, career education, social practice, and all-round development.
