Controlling Valve Actuator MVH56FA
The MVH56EX is a flexible electromechanical actuator for control.
Two-way and three-way globe valves:
Heating and cooling systems.
Air handling units.
District heating plants.
Industrial temperature control systems.
The MVH56EX can be used by a proportional (modulated) signal or by increasing or decreasing (floating) the signal.
Easy to install and connect actuators. Can be mounted directly on any Controlli flange valve. Suspension mechanism kits are available for ControlLi threaded valves as well as valves from other manufacturers (please contact our technical department). The actuator has a fine resolution (500 steps full stroke range) for precise flow control and it is able to self-calibrate any user action on different strokes if not needed (this feature can be selected in the field via a DIP switch). MVH56EX has intelligent behavior and alarm function in case of accidental operation; Alarm feedback to the user is provided by two LEDs (green and red) on the control board.
Note: If the actuator is not connected to the valve, it must not be used.
The actuator converts the control signal (modulation or 3-point floating) from the controller into the valve position. The DC motor drive gear train and worm gear jack mechanism in modern brushless actuators convert motor speed into precise and repeatable linear motion.
The MVH56EX can be controlled with two main control types.
3 points floating; Modulated (or proportional) signals with field-selectable ranges (e.g., 0-10VDC, 2-10VDC, 0-5 2-6VDC, 5-10 6-10VDC e 4-20mA. The actuator utilizes 2-10V position feedback (see DIP N.)1 Settings).
The actuator has automatic and manual stroke calibration, DIP N.
7.Automatic stroke calibration is enabled at the factory; Manuals unless required for valves or certain alarm functions.
They are equipped with a spring device that returns the actuator to its resting position.
The actuator consists of a die-cast aluminum housing that includes a mounting bracket for attaching to the valve body.
Reduction gears supported by ball bearings. The movement is transmitted to the rack and pinion mechanism connected to the stem through a suitable joint.
Internal electronic card with easily accessible electrical terminal connection. The spring return device consists of a FL located on the spring on the outside of the spindle.
Endpoint Auxiliary Switch (Accessory DMVE) The endpoint switch switches when the valve is fully open or closed. They are free contacts with a maximum voltage of 24VAC on the terminals.
Endpoint switches can be used to indicate the end position of the valve stroke and are used for relay control of additional plant equipment.
When the actuator is controlled individually or sequentially, when the valve is fully open, it can be switched on or off completely using an end switch. The position of the auxiliary switch according to the control signal (y) is shown in the table below.
