At present, most of the sugarcane in China adopts membrane separation technology in the sugar production process, which replaces the traditional refining technology to avoid the fermentation wastewater of high salt and high COD, and is a filtration, separation and purification technology that is non-phase change and environmentally friendly for production and environment.
In the process of applying membrane separation technology in the sugar industry, we found that the use of ceramic membrane separation technology to filter saccharified liquid has the advantages of good filtration flux, high product quality, and high rate. This type of membrane separation technology eliminates the need for a static process, saves production time, eliminates the need to add filter aids, and provides better protein removal and light transmittance of the filtered clarified solution than conventional processes.
Ceramic membrane separation technology has the advantages of high temperature resistance, large flux, long service life, pollution resistance, easy regeneration, corrosion resistance, strong chemical stability, etc., and is very suitable for the filtration and clarification of sugarcane juice. In addition, the concentration of sucrose molecules in the sugarcane juice treated by the membrane separation technology is high, and the sweetness of the original sugar is retained.
To sum up, the application of membrane separation technology to achieve filtration, clarification, separation and purification in the sugar industry is a new technology for green sugar production, and the application of ceramic membrane for precise physical sieving is a very important technology in the field of material separation in recent years.
