Dong Qiang
Dong Qiang is a Distinguished Professor of Boya at Peking University, Dean of the Yenching Academy of Peking University, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Fu Lei Translation Award. He graduated from Peking University in 1987 with a major in French, and in 1997 received his Ph.D. in literature from the University of Paris VIII, where he studied under Milan Kundera, a master of world literature. He has published and translated more than 20 books, including Liang Zongdai - Through Symbolism, The Art of *, Analects, The Logic of Sensation - Deleuze on Bacon, etc. In 2013, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Alliance de la Francophonie by the Académie Française, and in 2015 he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre d'Honneur by France. In 2016, he received an honorary doctorate from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, and was elected as a foreign life corresponding member of the French Academy of Ethics and Political Sciences in the same year.
Yu Zhongxian
Yu Zhongxian is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and a permanent judge of the Fu Lei Translation and Publishing Award. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in French from Peking University, and his Ph.D. in literature from the University of Paris IV. He has been engaged in the translation, criticism and research of French literature for many years, and has translated more than 80 works of **, drama and poetry by Naivar, Claudelle, Apollinaire, Beckett, Simon, Robbe-Grillet, Gluck, Sagan, Kundera, Fernandez, Le Clézio, Tucson, Eshnoz and others. In 2002, he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres d'Ordre des Lettres d'Ordre des Lettres de l In 2023, he was awarded the title of "Senior Translator" by the Translators Association of China.
Yang Guozheng
Yang Guozheng is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of French at the School of Foreign Chinese, Peking University. He graduated from Peking University with a bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral degree in French. His research interests include French literature and autobiographical literature. He has participated in and undertaken a number of national social science projects and humanities and social science projects of the Ministry of Education. He has published monographs such as "The Autobiographical Nature of Rousseau's Works" and "Research on the Phenomenon of Contemporary French Self-written Literature", translated "Autobiographical Contract", "Social Contract", "The Restlessness of Thought: On Sollers", and served as the editor-in-chief of "Biographical Literature Research", "Foreign Literature Research in the 30 Years of Reform and Opening-up" (French Literature Research Section), "Chronicle of Contemporary Foreign Literature (French Volume)" and other works.

As Proust's only novel**, Reminiscences of the Years is a reproduction of Proust's life, and is also known as the pinnacle of stream of consciousness and a milestone in world literature in the twentieth century. However, the length of "Reminiscences of the Past" is often prohibitive, and it has been shelved by many readers because of its stream-of-consciousness style, lingering thoughts, and long sentences. Now, Jean-Yves Tadier's "Proust Biography" opens another door for us to know Proust and read "Reminiscences", leading us into the art world of the masterpiece of literature.
In Proust's biography, Tadier makes comprehensive use of all kinds of materials at his disposal, sorts out Proust's ideological genealogy, explores the life history of the writer and his works, and focuses on reconstructing the creative process of his magnum opus, Reminiscences of the Past. It can be said that this biography is not only "the history of Marcel Proust's mind and growth, but also the history of the generation and creation of "Reminiscences".
