The winter of unmanned farms .

Six out of the house flew into the house, green and yellow turned into branches.

Heavy snow and light snow for another year. In the year, we have already experienced the spring, summer and autumn of the "unmanned farm", so what kind of scene will the winter be here?On December 10th, we went to the Gongzhuling Demonstration Base of Changchun Demonstration Zone of the "Black Soil Granary" Science and Technology Conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for the fourth time to visit the winter of the "unmanned farm".

Along the way, I saw that the earth was covered in silver, and the field was silent. Walking into the "unmanned farm", the farmland covered with snow is empty, and no human voices are heard. However, when we walked into the smart agriculture big data control center of the base, we saw a different scene.

Chen Guoshuang, a senior engineer at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led the team members to sit in front of the big screen, looking at the data and information of the past year.

Although this year is the second year that our unmanned operating system for cultivation and harvesting has officially landed, due to the different climatic characteristics and planting management methods every year, we will continue to face new problems, and there are also some materials to be supplemented on the platform. Taking advantage of the current slack of farming, we will sort out the problems in the operation process in the past year, adjust and formulate the work plan for the next year, and prepare for the more mature operation of the whole system next year. Chen Guoshuang said.

The picture on the big screen of the control center is frozen on a field plan of the entire farm, which is mottled and paved with red, yellow and green. "This is an electronic map of soil fertility generated by collecting crop growth information through multispectral remote sensing, and different colors represent the level of soil fertility. Chen Guoshuang said that through this soil fertility "prescription map", the variable fertilizer applicator can accurately adjust the amount of fertilizer, which can meet the needs of crop growth, reduce the non-point source pollution caused by the application of chemical fertilizers, and also reduce the cost of fertilization. "Next year, we will strive to officially implement the variable fertilization system at the base. Chen Guoshuang said.

Although they have completed a year of field work, Chen Guoshuang and his team have never rested, summing up experience, checking and filling gaps, and repairing equipment ......The "unmanned farms" in the off-season are not idle at all.

Unmanned agricultural machinery supports the "façade" of "unmanned farm", and the continuously optimized planting mode enriches the connotation of "unmanned farm". The "rice-bean intercropping" and "rice-mushroom intercropping" models they developed not only increased production and income, but also fertilized the soil. This winter, they should make good use of this rare chunk of time, further sum up experience, select improved varieties, promote mature planting patterns, and develop new planting models.

The straw left over after the harvest of the earth crops is "waste" in the eyes of others, but it has a high utilization value in their hands. The organic fertilizer "winter pile and spring use" technology model developed by researcher Wang Lixia, a member of the team, has made these straws play a big role. By adding strains and catalysts, the R&D team realized the compost in the field in winter, which not only reduced the emission of odorous gases from organic waste, but also returned to the field in situ during spring sowing. In the laboratory of the base, two graduate students are doing the pre-treatment of the detection of matrix and fertilizer fermentation samples, and then testing the nutrient content and other indicators in the organic materials of the samples after processing, and analyzing the fermentation effectIn more than a dozen greenhouses in the park, the experiment of circular agriculture is in full swing ......The work in the field is sometimes long, but the scientific research of smart agriculture does not stop.

From unmanned sowing in spring, to intelligent management in summer, and then to unmanned harvest in autumn, although there is "no one" in the field, there are many people's unremitting efforts behind this "no one".

It grows in spring and grows in summer, and is harvested in autumn and stored in winter. Nowadays, the "unmanned farm" cultivation management and harvesting model has been promoted in many places in the province. "The larger the land area, the more efficient and the lower the cost of this model. We strive to make this technology available in more places and benefit more farmers. This winter, we must continue to improve fertilization, sowing methods and planting patterns, optimize agricultural machinery and tools, and further improve the work efficiency and intelligence level of the intelligent management and control cloud platform. In the process of Jilin striving to be the vanguard of modern agriculture, Chen Guoshuang's steps are getting bigger and bigger, and they are full of confidence.

In the future, the 'unmanned farm' should be 'only the sound of the machine, not the farmer'. In spring, rows of unmanned agricultural machinery go hand in hand to accurately sow seeds; In summer, drones soar according to orders, precise fertilization and pesticide application; In autumn, a group of unmanned harvesters tacitly cooperated, and the particles returned to the warehouse. In Chen Guoshuang's hopeful description, a beautiful field has been unfolded.

This may be the Jilin model of modern agriculture!
