The compatibility of Kuanda is also manifested in the compatibility of juxtaposed elements at the same level, and the compatibility at the same level is a further compatibility on the basis of compatibility between high and low, so the content contains greater richness, such as Xu Wei's cursive, which is not only generally compatible with regular script, calligraphy and other forms of calligraphy, but also horizontally compatible with the cursive script of many calligraphers, which is reflected in the unique richness of its cursive, or the successful compatibility of factors at the same level must be able to achieve a higher level of Kuanda.
At the same time, in Xu Wei's high-level cursive writing, although the changes are rich and even messy, each stroke is written very rigorously and does not deviate from the basic brushwork. Although the strokes appear bold and uninhibited, Xu Wei is extremely calm and quiet when writing. It is precisely because Xu Wei's spiritual cognition has reached a higher level that he can achieve a higher level of expansiveness, perfectly integrating these seemingly opposite and even contradictory factors into the same work.
The same is true in painting, taking Van Gogh's "Plain of Auvers and Rain Clouds" as an example, we can first find Van Gogh's top-down compatibility with Western painting, which has long sought truth and image, while Van Gogh pays more attention to the expression of things and his own inner spirit. Impressionism expressed a vague feeling, while Van Gogh sought to express a deep truth. Western painting has long neglected lines, but Van Gogh found that lines (brushstrokes) can better express the inner spirit. Therefore, higher-level compatibility is not only compatible with low-level correctness, but also includes the correction and breakthrough of low-level cognitive biases.
Of course, the greater value of "Orville Plains and Rain Clouds" is reflected in the various compatibility at the same level. Van Gogh's works in his last period often show multi-layered and multi-angle thinking and expression of the relationship between heaven, earth and man, and this work is no different. The painting is divided into three parts from top to bottom: the cloudy sky above, the busy grass nearby, and the vast fields in the middle, forming a multi-layered contrast, gradient and fusion.
