Confessions of a guqin teacher

First, about the "piano road".

Guangling San", "Youlan", "Lisao", and "Gao Mountain" play these songs need the soul of male culture, and it is difficult for female pianists to play these songs.

It is not the technique that determines the aesthetics, but the aesthetics that determines the technique, and the dead knock technique is a dead end. Technique is not only about pitch, rhythm, speed, and dynamics. The so-called experience is in the front, and the hand is in the back.

Playing the piano is different from "for yourself", and all kinds of things you play for "for others" are often self-righteous, and people often like the appearance and state of your "for yourself".

The original meaning of "professional" and "amateur" is the energy and time spent on one thing, and does not represent the level of the high. Chen Danqing said this, and I agree with it very much. Chen Danqing thinks that art is regressive, I agree with it, at least I agree that the guqin is regressive, the maturity of the guqin in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, the peak should be the Tang and Song dynasties, and then slowly declined, and we are roughly only the share of the inheritance of the Xi. Some people think that "Spring Breeze" and "Three Gorges Boat Song" are the progress of the guqin, hehe.

Modern transplanted repertoire is just played and played, it is not the right way, Wu Zhao said that this has nothing to do with the artistic inheritance of the guqin. Guqin ** aesthetic threshold starts, starting from a deep disgust with "Wolong Yin" and "Listening to the rain in the middle of the mountain", don't stay outside the door. Some of the teachers who love to play this kind of music cater to the market, and some are half-hangers.

The qin can play tunes on the themes of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, but it is not subordinate to Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. The piano is only an aesthetic category, it is an independent art category.

The "first-class" and "universality" of the modern guqin have been promoted, and its beautiful name is "marketization", "internationalization" and "modernization", which is actually vulgarization.

Gong Yi said that the academy did not send it. Indeed, there are great differences in the teachers and professors of each college (see the "current situation" of the intangible cultural heritage center of *** college written by Zhang Huaying. Issue. Countermeasures: A Review of the National Guqin Professional Teaching Seminar). Some people keep the tradition and some don't, some think that the peak of maturity of the guqin has passed, and some think that the immaturity of the guqin needs to be transformed by the modern Western mature system. I agree with the former, and the latter may promote the "zitherization" of the guqin. Ding Chengyun said that if you don't pay attention, the guzheng is a lesson from the past.

The common problem of "academic piano playing" is homogeneity and lack of humanistic feelings, such as industrial mass production. Gong Yi (see the 2009 CCTV Guqin Competition Gong Yi judges made impromptu speeches and comments, and also said other issues), Ding Chengyun (there is a public **) have all said. The common problem of playing the piano in society is that Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and Taoism are gods, and even pretend to be ghosts. The kung fu in his hands is usually sparse, and there are not a few blind bullets.

Male pianists appreciate Wu Zhao, Yao Gongbai, Ding Chengyun and others, and female pianists appreciate Liu Chuhua, Lin Chen, Li Cun and others.

The second generation of Qin is generally very powerful, such as Yang Baoyuan, Wu Wenguang, Yao Gongbai, etc., and the second generation of Qin seems to be mostly female. Most of the people who play the piano are women.

Guan Pinghu is still the Jiuzhi faction, and the Wucheng monk and the Qin Heming Taoist priest probably do not exist. Cheng Gongliang also said that Qin Heming and his person have no circumstantial evidence to prove the existence of this person. I think this is similar to Ji Kang's statement that "Guangling San" is subject to the words of the immortals in the dream. In fact, Guan Pinghu's brilliance does not need to borrow light, but it may have been for self-reliance at that time.

Second, "piano art" and "piano technique".

Gong Yi's admitting that guqin players can have their own styles is biased and does not admit that there are factional styles. In fact, the styles, techniques, and aesthetics of the guqin schools are very different, and some of them are basically incompatible. Take the Jiuzhi faction as an example, I think it is compatible with the Zhejiang faction and the Panchuan faction, but it is difficult to be compatible with other factions. I studied with Mr. Chen Leiji for a week, and I was one of the first students in the society he taught. Teacher Gong's faction is different from the right and left hands of the faction, the Gong faction's flesh surface touches the strings, and the faction hangs and exerts force. When I was studying with Chen Lei, he knocked my hand with a folding fan and said, "Why do you want to play the strings?".When I was learning from Deng Hong, Mr. Deng said that if you don't play the strings, the sound will come out like a "turnip". They all played the piano well, and I didn't know who was right at the time, haha. But "pulling the strings" is certainly not right.

What I learned from Ms. Deng Hong ten years ago, there are some things that I have not deeply understood until now, such as why introverted fingering requires strings, and why Guan Pinghu has no attention and what kind of effect it will have. The right fingering method of the Guan faction basically uses Zhengfeng, which can be referred to Guan Pinghu's only one minute of playing the piano** and Wang Di and Qiao Shan**. But Jung Min-jung seems to have brought a bias, and his right hand uses more wrist strength. His left wrist is very active, and his chanter is also lively, and he privately thinks that he is a model of the management school.

I understand that the underlying techniques of playing the piano are "loose" and "jin", which can also be collectively called "loose jin". Lin Youren realized "hitting the bell", and his strength was indeed extraordinary.

The era of the text spectrum is much richer than the era of the minus character spectrum, for example, the fingering methods such as "wood, hook, and hit" are ways and means of exerting force, not referring to fixing a certain finger (see the ancient score "Youlan"). Now there is basically no one who plays fingering methods such as "Lian Lian and Quanfu" according to the ancient fingering.

The ancient fingering "pick" is to play upward, and "calendar" is to play forward and downward (the food is called picking, not the calendar). Among the ** that can be seen, it seems that only Wu Jingluo's "pick" is upward, and the entire piano world generally chooses to replace "pick" with "calendar", and "calendar" has become a continuous "pick" string. The ancient fingering method of "hitting" is the lower finger of the meat surface volley, which is common to food, middle and name, and "wood" and "hook" are touching the strings. At present, the various factions either use the universal "hit" to discard the "wood" and "hook", or the general "wood" and "hook" are discarded and not used. In fact, the fingering is simplified, and the ancients played the piano more subtly.

loose shoulders and elbows" is a general statement, and Zheng Minzhong and Dai Xiaolian's right hands are not "elbows". This is good for the positive peak to play the strings. "Falling elbows" will inevitably lead to finger deviations, of course, it is best to like the deviation to fall elbows. The elbow drop is obviously like Li Fengyun, and the use of the bias is obviously like the Taiwanese pianist Li Kongyuan.

Gong Yi "picked" with arm strength, and Chen Lei said that it was "pushing". The fingering of "hook" is better than "pulling", but Gong Yi seems to be using his knuckles to help his wrist joints, and he does not use too much arm strength. Li Xiangting "picked" and hit his index finger with his big finger. But it seems to be limited to one of them, from the fact that its scholars are all large, and the index finger first closes the "dragon's eye" and then plays. The "picking" method is beautiful, including Xu Xiaoying of Hangzhou Zhejiang School, Liu Chuhua of Hong Kong Fanchuan, etc.

Those who have a degree or rhythm are Jiuzhi (Guan School), Zhejiang School, and Fanchuan, see Zheng Minzhong's "Narcissus Exercise", Zheng Yunfei's "High Mountain", and Ding Chengcheng's "Three Alleys of Plum Blossoms". Wu Zhao's Yinyu is more special, and the connotation and rhythm of Yinyu are more complex, which seems to be different from the "Yushan Wu School", and Yu thinks that it is extremely difficult to learn. Gong Yiyinyu is actually rhythmic, but blindly following the trend of scholars is easy to take his loose life as "Yinyu" and go astray. Zheng Minzhong sighed with his wrist round, and Gong Yi fell with his wrist and groaned.

The left-hand overtones should be fast, but they should not be "electrocuted" or "hot".

Pressing the strings is the finger "supporting" gravity, not the pressure, and the sound is similar to "carrying" - "unloading", and there is no need to "hide the finger" below the seven emblems of the hand

Jiuzhi (tube) faction right hand force in the palm wrist, so the metacarpal joint, wrist joint to loosen, left hand chanting, the same is true, other factions have partial arms, partial fingers, do not expand said.

There is no fixed starting point to the note.

Three or four points are good, they are greasy and crooked, and some factions are so aesthetically pleasing and don't care.

"Dialing, slashing" is "fish swinging tail", not "slapping", rude.

Third, about "learning the piano" and "teaching the piano".

Traditional guqin teaching is basically one-to-one, and Zheng Yunfei of Zhejiang School said that he never runs classes. I've had classes, but they're all gone. The small class is okay, more than six people, and it's basically nonsense.

If you want to play the piano well, the first thing is to make use of your time and "don't withdraw the piano for no reason". Don't expect to spend the whole block practicing.

Do I need to sing music to learn the piano? It's not necessary, but it's good to be able to sing. Some teachers say that you need to learn the piano first and then learn the guqin, which is nonsense. Need to learn beats?Managing factions is a must, and other factions don't know.

Whether it has to be tuned to the "standard tone", there is no such thing, it is a matter of stage ensemble. Teaching requires the same pitch of the piano of the classmates and the teacher, and only the relative intervals need to be adjusted to play by yourself.

When choosing a teacher, you need to find a responsible teacher. The teachers in charge are more reliable than the "famous" teachers, and many "famous" teachers are just busy making money.

I heard people say that they practice the piano for five or even eight hours a day, but in fact, three hours is enough for talented people, after all, people still have to learn Xi other knowledge and live. For people who are not talented, it is useless to practice 24 hours. Chopin required his students to practice no more than three hours a day.

Guqin teachers should be like calligraphy teachers, let students go to the best "post", not exactly the same as their own playing, otherwise the height of the teacher is the ceiling of students.

Gong Yi and Chen Leiji believe that the use of staves in the guqin is correct and professional. Wang Peng thinks it's wrong. Cheng Gongliang chose a simple score. I asked Teacher Deng Hong about this question, she was noncommittal, I used it, I feel that the rhythm of the stave logo is very good, but the pitch of the logo is not concise enough, and it is not conducive to the spread of social piano teaching.

The tube version of "Guangling San" that can be found on the Internet**Only Ge Hancong and Qiao Shan are faithful to Pinghu, Ge Hancong is the whole book, and Qiao Shan did not play the "chaotic" part. Guan Pinghu is the most loyal to the original score of the magical secret score in the score of "Guangling San", and you can basically watch the original score and listen to the recording to learn and Xi. In addition, such as "White Snow" and "Lisao", you can basically play with the original score.

Learning the piano from a teacher is what the teacher teaches you to learn, not what you want to learn. The order of precedence is considered by the teacher, and the omissions are filled in for different people. The downside of self-study or online learning is that no one tells you exactly what's wrong, and what you think you're proud of may be the one that needs to be fixed. I have this experience, I can't learn anymore, I know that I must have a problem, but I don't know that I am in **, and I understand it all when I go to the teacher. There is a saying"Spending money is a shortcut"!

Listen more and watch the old gentleman play the piano.

Playing the piano is to find "feeling", not "persistence". Many people give up halfway through learning the piano, but in fact, they still haven't found the feeling, and they feel that this thing will be addictive. It is easiest to feel early in the morning, before going to bed, and after a lunch breakI feel it on a light rainy day;The softly lit environment has a feel; There is a feeling of the outdoors;Playing the piano makes me feel good;Playing your favorite tune has a feeling, etc. See the ancients, ten should be played, and ten should not be played.

Trim your nails often, leaving no nails on your left hand, one to two millimeters on your right hand, and it is better to be on an arc with your fingers.

Before playing the piano, you should wipe the piano, the surface is clean, the heart is clean, and the heart is clean.

Don't look for "breath mouth" at will, deliberately and naturally, or listen to the teacher.

It is strictly forbidden to stilt the legs, and the breath is not smooth.

The piano should be put well, the piano table is three fingers wide on the line, and the piano table can not be out of the side of the body, some people say that it is ten centimeters in the table, to see how big the table is, the width of more than sixty centimeters can be, generally two to five centimeters can be, the four strings of the piano body are parallel to the side of the table.

When I started to learn the piano, I put the focus Xi on the right hand, and most people always thought that the focus of the technique was on the left hand.

Fourth, about the "instrument".

"Xi piano" is a pseudo-concept, in fact, it is a poor piano. The better the piano practice, the better the effect, and the more "rubbing the piano" during the piano learning period.

The first element of picking the piano is the feel, not the timbre, not the lacquer color, and many people just get it wrong.

The shape of the piano has an effect on the timbre, and if it is an exam, the standard answer is no, and the standard answer is often wrong.

The pitch suitable for each piano is different, the pitch suitable for the tight piano, and the pitch suitable for the loose piano, generally between the elevation and the high and the high.

Hong Kong and Taiwan pianists play many silk strings, and some don't recognize steel strings at all, such as Su Sidi and Li Kongyuan. Li Kongyuan said that playing silk strings is not a tradition, but a choice of aesthetic needs (Deng Hong also said). Su Sidi said that the steel string is not expressive enough, inelastic, and has a single layer. There are also those in the mainland who insist on silk strings, such as Li Mingzhong. On the issue of silk strings and steel strings, Cheng Gongliang is more objective (see Cheng Gongliang's "Guqin Strings in the Past Fifty Years"). There are also those whose views have changed, such as Ji Zhiqun, who said in "Confucianism in the Sound of the Qin" that the piano has nothing to do with the silk strings and steel strings, and later said that the steel strings made everyone's hands tight. Tian Qing said that a professor of the ** college in the mainland did not have the "astringency" of the Hong Kong and Taiwan piano people when he played the piano, and privately thought that it was probably because of the choice of strings. There is also a kind of nylon string called "ice string", which is used a lot by Li Xiangting's faction, but most pianists do not use this. Wang Peng disagrees very much, he said it in public.

In my opinion, steel strings are a choice, not an iterative progression. The increase in the tension of the steel strings leads to the general increase in the tone of the guqin, which not only affects the performance and aesthetics of the qin, but also causes the right hand to become easy to tighten. Also because of the increase in tension, the resistance of the left hand to press the string increases, and the left hand is easy to become loose. The steel string is smooth, and the resistance of the string becomes smaller, which can easily lead to the development of the ancient method of chanting to wanton chanting. These are the problems of steel strings that Cheng Gongliang did not raise.

It is a long process to recognize and discern the advantages and disadvantages of the instrument, from listening to others to figuring it out to being convinced. But it also varies from person to person, and some people are sensitive to timbre and can understand it as soon as they hear it, or they can understand it after a little talk. If you want to really understand, you have to keep playing the piano, try different pianos with your favorite tunes, and naturally know what a good piano is. Although a large part of whether the piano is good or not is a subjective preference, there must be objective differences. As long as you play the piano, you will understand sooner or later.

I didn't have my own piano at first, and the first piano I used was made by a master who had been working with Li Mingzhong for two years, so the piano was not ideal. In the process of doing it, I also participated in grinding gray tires and lacquer finishes, which seemed to be synthetic lacquer at the time, but it was also difficult to grind. The lacquer surface of the non-lacquered piano is jerky, the strings are not smooth, and if there are sweat stains on the hands, it is easy to hurt the hands, that is, the muscles or tendons of the thenar area. My injured hand should not be injured by this piano, it should be injured later by playing Pingsha with the Juntianfang Qin, because playing against Guan Pinghu recording, Guan Pinghu's Pingsha recording is a semitone higher than the elevation, so I must also adjust the tone of the piano to the same level, plus the Juntianfang Qin is easy to resist in the position of Wuhui, and I was very energetic at that time, so I was injured. But I didn't know it, I only remembered that there was pain in the fish, and I slept with it. Later, when I was learning the piano with Deng Hong, she asked me to play Pingsha to see, I played about two or three paragraphs, she said okay, the big finger of the left hand was a little stiff, I just looked at it myself, and then found that it was very different from the big finger of the right hand. She said that in the past, Teacher Wang Di said that there were injuries in piano practice, so she was asked to be careful, she was still a little confused, and then she met many people who practiced with injured hands. She comforted me and said that you have such an experience yourself, and it is also a good thing that you will pay special attention to not letting students practice to hurt their hands in the future. Therefore, I later hated the so-called "practice Xi", non-lacquer pianos, finger-resistant pianos, etc.

I have been selling Juntianfang's piano for three years, Juntianfang's piano definitely gives people a feeling of being tall, and the completion of the piano is very good, anyway, it was the most famous at that time. Later, it turned out that what he did was right, Jun Tianqin still maintained its value, unlike many miscellaneous pianos that couldn't be folded in half on Xianyu. There are several reasons why I don't do Jun Tianqin, one is that I feel that Jun Tian has used too much force in propaganda and has not made much progress in research and development, and one is that I feel that its piano is generally a little resistant to fingers in Gao Zhun, which should be caused by the panel arc being too small and the rear chord support, and the rhyme of pressing and walking hands is not very good. However, it is still better than most of the pianos in the industry, in the words of Tieba netizens, "Juntianfang's piano is for people who can't pick the piano", the implication is that they will not be deceived. There are many people who are deceived when beginners buy the piano, and there are several students who transfer to me to learn the piano, saying that it was 30,000 to buy it for me to see, I don't even see the lacquer, and it is not good to say that your piano ** should not be more than 10,000 talents, so it will only offend the teacher who sold her piano, and she herself will be very uncomfortable. I had to comfort with a sentence of "It's okay, it can be used," but I was afraid that the students would break their hands, and I was quite conflicted in my heart. There are also tens of thousands of people who have bought the piano and found a bunch of problems such as anti-fingers, sand sound, and playing boards, and it is full of prevarication to find the seller to change it.

When I used to teach the piano in the early days, the piano was a "chrysanthemum wine agarwood" level piano in Juntian, and there was no opponent to play it generally, it turned out that Mr. Deng Hong used Zhang Yiqiu's piano in the piano hall in Xiyuan, and there was no comparison with my piano, of course, Zhang Yiqiu's piano was cheap, mostly in more than 10,000 appearances, I was still quite proud at that time, and I took my own piano to class in class. Until one day I went to her house to take a lesson, and she said you come and try this piano, a piano by Zeng Chengwei. As soon as I got started, Mom!That piano is so spiritual, I compared my "chrysanthemum wine agarwood" to me. Later, when I picked the piano, I paid special attention to whether the piano was "spiritual". But Mr. Deng said that Zeng Chengwei didn't dare to sell the piano to the north, the cracking was too serious, and some people said that it was from the north, so he didn't sell it directly. I played Zeng Qin, and later the circle said that Zeng Qin is suitable for performance, so most of the academics choose Zeng Qin, Zeng Qin is afraid of emptiness, and when you pick it, you should pick it tighter, I don't know very well. Once Ni Shiyun said this: Li Mingzhong's piano is dominant in a room of more than ten square meters, Zeng Qin is dominant in a room of forty or fifty square meters, and Ni Qin is dominant in a room of twenty or thirty square meters. But then I think Ni Qin is the best outdoors, haha. Having said that, I think Juntianfang's loose sound is the best, and the high-level piano (Wang Peng's pro-chop) is also good, netizens said that Juntian has a good groove belly structure and does not use it on the low-level piano, I haven't sold Wang Peng's personal chop, I went to Juntianfang to play it, and I don't understand it too much. It's good to play an eight-treasure emblem,**It's 800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,00

When I opened a piano studio, I was looking for pianos everywhere, and once a friend took me to an exhibition called "Silk Road Craftsman" to find a luthier surnamed Yi to see how his piano was. At that time, there were more than 20 luthiers in the exhibition, I turned around and did not find a good piano, nor did I find the violinist surnamed Yi, and then I heard someone playing the piano in the distance, the sound of the piano was loose and penetrating, so I looked for the sound in the past. A young man was stroking the piano, as if his surname was Li, so he chatted for a while, the young man got up and left, his booth was actually next to him, and a teacher hurriedly came over and accosted me and said, "This piano is mine", haha, obviously knowing that I misunderstood. After chatting, the teacher's name is Zhu Zhenli, and the piano is a "moth-eaten" piano. Later, Mr. Zhu asked me to go to his piano factory to see the piano, and I also went to his house, and invited us to dinner. However, I didn't like the piano from his piano factory, and he personally cut it was good, but it seemed that the production was too small at that time, and I only saw two of them, so I hesitated not to make his piano. Later, his lover also went to Mr. Deng's to learn the piano, and there was a piano in Mr. Deng's, which I thought was good, but Mr. Deng still seemed to like Zeng Qin. Later, Mr. Zhu and his nephew made a factory piano, and his nephew made a factory piano, and forgot what name he gave it, as if he was a great de, and he came to me to borrow a Ni Qin, saying that someone wanted to buy Ni Qin, and then he didn't sell it and returned it. Later, I went to Mr. Zhu's lover's piano hall once, but in the end I didn't make up my mind to sell his piano, and I still owe Mr. Zhu a meal, haha.

Li Yifan's piano has seen two, and I think it is Juntianfang that I learned, from the model to the lacquer color, but it is more "oily" than Juntian, and the timbre is not brilliant, unlike its propaganda "Juntianfang is a martial art, suitable for performance, Li Yifan (it seems to be called Kuiyintang) is a Wenqin, suitable for self-cultivation." "Juntianfang's piano is also not suitable for performance.

I have been in contact with Wu Zhenyu on the Internet, I haven't been to him, I've seen his two pianos, one of which was used by the students to deduct part of the upgrade piano, and then I came out on the Internet cheaply, maybe it's not a high-level reason, it's not outstanding.

Zhang Yiqiu's piano entered a few when he was in Xisanqi, and later found out that it was not his son Zhang Jun's, no. Zhang Yiqiu's is okay at the entry level, ** is more realistic, but it is rougher, and the degree of completion is not high.

There is a "Lei Yin Qin Academy" (the same name as Ni Shiyun's studio) at the east gate of Xiangshan, and the owner is Shao Tianze, where I taught the piano for a while, it seems to be in 2014I can't remember. Anyway, at that time, Mr. Shao's piano was good, he should have consulted Zheng Minzhong and then improved, his piano was loose and transparent, and he had the kind of tranquility of Taoism. I became interested in Ni Qin, and I once chatted with Mr. Shao, and he said that it was really good to play Ni Shiyun in a piano house or a teahouse. Later, I didn't go to him for many years, and sometimes I met him in Xiangshan to say hello. He also made a lot of friends there, such as Zou Yan from Xiangshan No. 9 Life Museum, Xu Yanli from Qingru Xu Teahouse, etc., their shops were closed around the beginning of the epidemic, and I didn't have a good place to go in Xiangshan.
