The author himself is engaged in corporate finance work, and in the past ten years, he has often dealt with various commercial banks. I also have a lot of friends in the bank, who eat, drink, and talk together on weekdays, and I have also heard about some things inside the bank.
At lunch, I saw the news that "bank employees reported being pressured by their leaders to have sex", combined with the author's understanding of bank employees for many years, I briefly analyzed two possible reasons for this situation.
One. Money
This starts with the salary composition of commercial bank employees, and their salary mainly has two parts: basic salary + performance bonus, which is generally the salary structure of all positions in each bank.
In terms of basic salary, the author is in the suburbs of Beijing, and the overall economic level of the region is backward in Beijing. Under normal circumstances, the basic salary of commercial banks is only 5,000 yuan per month for those who have worked for about five years, and even the basic salary of some newly hired tellers is even lower.
Secondly, in terms of bonuses, most banks pay bonuses on a quarterly basis, and the quarterly bonuses for ordinary tellers are about 12,000 yuan to 15,000 yuan per month. The relationship manager and wealth manager will be higher than the teller, but their part of the bonus is linked to the completion of various task indicators. For example, the bank's annual opening index, loan rate index, wealth management sales task index and so on. If you complete it, you will have an excess reward, and if you don't complete it, you can only get a basic bonus of about 6,000 yuan - 8,000 yuan per month. There are even some banks that do not have a basic bonus, and there will be corresponding penalties.
I have heard of some bank tellers who take the initiative to have improper relationships with customers in order to save money and complete annual tasks, and this phenomenon is very common.
Two. Resources
If bank employees want to make more money and get promoted quickly, they must have their own business resources. A few years ago, a friend of the author's house was demolished, and after getting the demolition money, he directly deposited 10 million yuan in a bank, and then the friend joined the bank as a lobby manager.
What's more, there are relatives in the family who are leaders in enterprises and institutions, and hundreds of millions of funds are stored in the bank where they work. Don't look at the identity of an ordinary employee, the president of the branch, even the branch president in the city did not dare to provoke him, and he walked sideways in the existence of a "king" in the bank.
But not everyone has such good resources, and most people still have to rely on the tasks assigned by the bank leaders to make money to survive. The high-quality customer resources of commercial banks are in the hands of the president, vice president or department manager, and no matter how hard you work hard, the management will not allocate good resources to you, and it will be in vain. The customers who are assigned to you are poor credit and insufficient repayment ability, and every day you are busy collecting and paying off, not to mention the performance of a few money at the end of the year, sometimes it is fortunate not to deduct your bonus.
Therefore, bank employees who have neither relationship nor background can only obtain high-quality customer resources by maintaining the relationship with bank leaders, so as to get relatively high scores in the performance appraisal and receive generous bonuses at the end of the year.
To sum up, the author believes that the pressure of bank employees by the leadership is nothing more than money or resources, or both.
