On December 2, the finals of the 2023 National College Student Software Testing Contest were held at Fudan University (Handan Campus). With their solid professional knowledge and excellent practical ability, the participating students of Xihua University lived up to expectations and won the national third prize.
It is understood that this competition is jointly organized by the Organizing Committee of the National College Student Software Testing Competition, the Software Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the Software Engineering Professional Committee of the China Computer Federation, the System Software Professional Committee of the China Computer Federation, the Fault-tolerant Computing Professional Committee of the China Computer Federation, and the Software Testing Ability Certification Alliance (CBSTC). The competition consists of three categories: developer test, web application test, and embedded test. A total of 10,518 college students from 29 provinces across the country signed up for the competition.
After the fierce competition in the preliminaries and provincial competitions, Deng Yuqi, a student from the School of Computer and Software Engineering of Xihua University, stood out and entered the national finals and won the national third prize. Chen Jiahui from the School of Computer and Software Engineering won the second prize of the provincial competition, Li Guijiao, Cao Jing and Lu Yingfang won the third prize of the provincial competition, and Wu Dengjiang and other students won the provincial competition. This is the first time that students from the school have participated in the National Collegiate Test Competition. With the help of their instructors, they have won honor for the school through their hard work, which fully reflects the all-round quality and excellent ability of the school's students in the field of software testing.
