On January 5, the new energy base project in Shanxi Jinbei coal mining subsidence area led by Jinneng Holding Group officially started in Datong City. This is the first major project in Shanxi to start construction in 2024.
The new energy base in Shanxi Jinbei coal mining subsidence area is one of the 12 large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases in the national promotion of the "double carbon" target layout, and is also a key demonstration project for the construction of Shanxi's "five bases", mainly in Xinrong District, Zuoyun County, Yungang District, Hunyuan County, Lingqiu County and Guangling County in Datong City. The total investment of the project is about 55 billion yuan, planning to build 6 million kilowatts of wind power photovoltaic new energy projects, and configuring new energy storage capacity of about 3.4 million kilowatt hours, which is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2025.
In fact, as early as October 2023, Jinneng Holding Group held an unveiling ceremony, including the preparation for the construction of a large-scale wind power photovoltaic base in the coal mining subsidence area of northern Shanxi, making it clear that the base is the only national-level "Shagehuang" large-scale wind power photovoltaic base project developed and constructed by a provincial enterprise in the country, and will be built into a leading comprehensive energy demonstration base for the integration of wind, solar, thermal and storage in the country in the future to promote the green transformation and development of enterprises.
