In 1974, Long Zhimin moved to Xindi with the villagers, but he always found excuses to avoid labor and even steal public grain. In this period of big pot rice, his laziness is deeply disgusting. Long Zhimin deceived a demented woman in 1977 and treated her for several days until she was discovered and rescued by the villagers.
In 1978, he married Yan Shuxia, who was paralyzed by meningitis. With the implementation of the household responsibility system, Long Zhimin realized that the days of eating idle meals were gone. Because he was lazy and greedy for quick money, he began to dabble in crime.
Long Zhimin has committed a number of cases targeting migrant workers and farmers who shop in the city, and 37 people have been reported missing between 1983 and 1985 alone.
