Common faults and solutions of burners

Mondo Technology Updated on 2024-01-28

Ignition fault: Under normal conditions, if the burner is started three times in a row, and no ignition combustion should be judged as an ignition fault, and corresponding inspections are required to eliminate the fault. (The fan is running normally and the program is correct when ignition).

1 Air source failure: Check whether the pressure is normally maintained at 3-5kpa, too high or too low will cause ignition phenomenon. Solution;Adjust the regulator and set the pressure.

2. Damper failure: Check the size of the damper, the damper is prone to multiple ignition failures when it is too large, and the treatment method;Adjust the damper down appropriately, but not completely.

3. Ignition transformer failure: ignition failure will occur when the ignition transformer is not ignited, or the position is incorrect. Solution;Test whether the ignition transformer is ignited, adjust the ignition gap to keep 2-3mm.

4 Gas valve group failure:

The valve group will be opened in time during normal ignition, and the sound of opening can be heard, and the flame will not be established when it cannot be openedCheck the opening of the valve manifold coil and adjust the valve.

Flame-out fault: When the burner is burning normally, the fire is suddenly extinguished, which is a flame-out fault.

1. Unstable gas source: extinguishing the fire after the flame fluctuation caused by the unstable gas source, treatment method;Adjust the pressure and restart.

2 Flame detector failure: The flame detection probe is grounded during operation, or the normal flame cannot be detected when it is too dirty, and the flame is extinguished. Solution;Adjust the probe position and clean the probe surface. Reboot.

3 Circuit FailureCircuit Failure: The power supply is unstable or out of phase, resulting in flameout in the process. Solution;Contact an electrician to check the power supply and wiring.

Burner does not start fault: Press the start button and the burner does not start for a long time.

1 External cascading fault: the external temperature or pressure control does not reach the lower starting limit;Check the temperature or pressure setpoint.

2. When the internal chain of the burner does not pass When the air pressure is too high or too low, when the air pressure switch is normally closed and not closed, and when the damper mechanism is not in place, it will appear and be checked step by step.

3 Program controller failure, program controller failure is not reset, reset.

4. Fan motor overheating protectionFan motor overheat protection, reset the thermal relay.
