On the weekend, I took the time to go to the famous Eastern Suburbs Alley, which is also my heart.
According to the map navigation, take Metro Line 5, get off at Chongwenmen Station, and walk out along the subway entrance facing Chongwenmen Hospital, and you will see a sign in the eastern suburbs of Minxiang, just go west.
Follow the instructions along the alley directly to the west, about 200 meters or so, to an intersection, there is no traffic light, and you come to this St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Because it was just in time for the eve of Christmas Eve, there were people clocking in at the door.
On the wall on the south side of the road, there is a sign introducing the Eastern Suburbs.
This courtyard wall is the courtyard wall of the former site of the Belgian Embassy.
However, the main entrance of the former Belgian embassy is close to the east-west road on the east side of Tiananmen Square.
Walk through this intersection along the alley and continue to the west, which is probably the former site of the original Dongjiao Minxiang, mainly concentrated on the north side of the road, from east to west, it is probably the former site of the French Embassy, the former site of the French Post Office, the former site of the Japanese Embassy, the former site of the Eastern Suburb Minxiang Hotel, and the former site of Zhengjin Bank.
