In ancient Chinese legends, Tang Seng and his three apprentices, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Seng, embarked on a journey to the west to learn scriptures. However, there is a mystery in this story, that is, how many people are there in the West?
First of all, on the surface, the team of learning scriptures in the West Heaven consisted of Tang Seng and three apprentices, a total of four people. However, if we delve deeper into the story, we will find that there is a deeper meaning hidden behind this simple number.
As the leader of this team, Tang Seng represents the embodiment of wisdom and compassion. He is on a mission to retrieve the scriptures and spread the Dharma, and is the spiritual leader of the entire team. However, Tang Seng was not alone, he also had three apprentices by his side.
Sun Wukong, as Tang Seng's great apprentice, has unparalleled martial arts and wit. He represents the courage and strength of man, and in order to complete the task of learning the scriptures, he does not hesitate to engage in fierce battles with demons and monsters. Zhu Bajie, as the second apprentice, although sometimes lazy and greedy, he also has strength that cannot be underestimated. He symbolizes human desires and emotions, and often regulates the atmosphere in the procession so that the journey is not too boring. Sha Seng is the third apprentice, he is known for his calmness and infinite strength, and bears the heavy responsibility of protecting ** and senior brother. He represents the tenacity and perseverance of a person, who can move on with determination no matter how difficult it may be.
However, in addition to these four members, there is also an important figure hidden behind the scenes - the White Dragon Horse. As Tang Seng's mount, the white dragon horse carried the weight of ** and embarked on this long journey. Without the support of the white dragon horse, Tang Seng could not move forward smoothly. Therefore, in a sense, the white dragon horse is also an indispensable member of the Xitian scripture learning team.
Based on the above analysis, we can conclude that the team of learning scriptures in the West Heaven is actually composed of a total of five people: Tang Seng, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Seng and Bailongma. These five individuals represent wisdom, courage, desire, tenacity, and devotion, symbolizing the various qualities that a person needs to possess on the path to Buddhahood. Through this story, we not only understand the hardships and tribulations on the road to learn the scriptures, but also understand the truth that we need to continue to practice and pursue inner purification in the journey of life.
