Yangqi Temple is located in Yangqi Mountain, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction in Shangli County, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, about 25 kilometers away from Pingxiang City. It is the birthplace of the Yang Qi sect of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism in China, and one of the important inheritance places of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism, one of the five major sects of Chinese Buddhism.
