Don t think I don t have chickens

Li Wenjuan, an agricultural expert, is trying to promote GMOs, and I am not a professional to refute her.

But she said that chickens don't need to eat hormones, they are fed normally, and chickens can be slaughtered in 40 days!

But we can't conclude that broilers use hormones just because they're big, she said.

Don't think that I haven't raised chickens, and I can refute this when I told her that she doesn't need hormones and can be slaughtered in 40 days.

Because I've been feeding chickens with adults since I was sensible, and it's been decades now.

I've been keeping it ever since. Although the number of raised animals is not much, there are more than ten or twenty birds all year round. They are all eaten at home, so they are fed with bran and leftovers, never fed with factory-produced chicken feed, and never fed hormones.

My experience in raising chickens for many years is that I buy twenty or thirty-day-old chicks from the farmers' market and raise them until they can be slaughtered and eaten, at least for more than half a year.

Therefore, Li Wenjuan said that without hormones, local chickens can be slaughtered in 40 days. I dare say, it's absolutely impossible, or not a native chicken.

Maybe Li Wenjuan has never raised real local chickens, that is, the farm chickens we are talking about. She treats fast-growing chickens as local chickens. Fast-growing chickens are fast-growing chickens, and native chickens are native chickens. The two are not to be confused.

As for whether fast-growing chickens can be slaughtered in 40 days, I haven't raised them, so I don't know. Even if it can be slaughtered in 40 days, it tastes, whether in terms of color, flavor, or other aspects, compared with the real farmhouse chicken, it is far behind.
