This is my fifth year working in Huajiadi and the first year after the end of the pandemic.
Looking back on the past year, time is like the "Begonia Flower Stream" next to the newspaper office flowing calmly, and work and life in the post-epidemic era are almost calm. If it hadn't been for the episode in early March, everything would have been even more uneventful. In early spring, the magnolia flowers in the courtyard are a bright color in this bland memory.
This year, as the editor of the Viewpoint News Department, I completed my job step by step. On March 1, at the 2022 annual summary and commendation conference held by the newspaper, all six staff members in the department were rated as excellent, and I was also fortunate to win the excellent grade in the year-end assessment for the third time in a row, drawing a successful end to the work during the three-year epidemic. During this period, the edited work "Chongqing Court Reform and Innovation Bankruptcy Case Trial Mechanism to Help the Healthy Development of Enterprises" won the special award of the 26th Chongqing News Award, the edited work "The First Civil Public Interest Litigation Case for the Protection of Ancient Villages in the Country" won the first prize of the 29th Jiangxi News Award, and the edited work "For the Clear Water of a River to Flow Eastward, Qinghai Relies on the Rule of Law to Build an Ecological Civilization Highland" won the second prize of the 32nd Qinghai News Award.
The biggest feeling in the work is that every day of making a version does not dare to slack off, and we must insist on chewing the words and comparing the baht, otherwise there may be mistakes if you are not careful. For example, on March 28, there was a content implied by Zhang ** that was not suitable for publication, and with many years of work experience, he keenly discovered this problem in the editing process, thus avoiding a major accident. Every time I do an edition, because I need to edit and proofread a manuscript of more than 10,000 words, and coordinate all aspects of editing, phototypesetting, proofreading, reviewing, and checking, almost all of them continue to work the night shift after the day shift, and I usually get off work until ** o'clock in the evening, and it is common to wait until 11 or 2 o'clock in the evening to print. For example, on the evening of March 7, he was in charge of editing the special issue of the two sessions, and in order to ensure that there were no mistakes in the layout, he carefully proofread it over and over again, and did not leave work until 3 o'clock in the morning the next day. In addition, there were several times when I worked overtime until more than two o'clock in the morning to go home in order to catch up with the manuscript.
In the past year, the biggest change has been the adjustment of the content of the work. Since the department has implemented the "job rotation system" since the beginning of the year, it has assumed the roles of editor and reporter respectively on a single and bimonthly basis, responsible for the editing of the rule of law (Monday to Thursday) and the collection and writing of manuscripts, and is no longer responsible for the update and operation and maintenance of the case channel. With the shift of work focus, I had to adapt to the new pace of work, and at the same time, I also experienced the pressure of different positions. In May 2023, the newspaper adjusted the workstations of various departments, and our department moved from the second floor to the large platform for editing on the first floor, ushering in a new working environment. The acacia tree on the table grew higher and higher under the nourishment of the sunlight on the first floor, showing a rare vitality.
This year, I actively paid attention to the protection of the rights and interests of consumers and workers, and wrote a number of articles on the chaos in the consumer field, the protection of labor rights and interests, and the improvement of public policies. For example, with the rapid development of e-commerce and the sharing economy, buying and selling idle items on second-hand trading platforms has become an option for many people. However, due to the emergence of online fraud, mismatch, mixed sale of real and fake, false transactions and other phenomena, it is difficult to fully guarantee the user experience and product quality. To this end, I wrote a report entitled "Investigation of the Chaos of Second-hand Trading Platforms on the Emergence of Online Fraud and Mixed Selling of True and Fake Goods", calling on second-hand trading platforms to further improve trading rules and complaint and reporting channels, strengthen the management of users on the platform, effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of buyers and sellers, and create a law-based and orderly business environment. After the report was published, many newspapers such as "Jinling Evening News", "Shaoxing Evening News", "Xining Evening News", Xinhuanet, The Paper and other dozens of news were ** one after another.
In reality, due to the imperfect status quo and rules of the industry, it is often difficult for many consumers to get actual compensation even if they buy flight delay insurance, and even cause many disputes, making consumers complain. In response to this phenomenon, I wrote a report "Real Gold ** Bought Flight Delay Insurance, Only Got Compensation Vouchers Expert: When settling claims, the platform should actively fulfill its commitments in accordance with relevant agreements". The report is based on the law, clearly pointing out that this move seriously harms the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and requires insurance companies and relevant platforms to provide consumers with true, comprehensive and accurate information, and actively fulfill their commitments in accordance with relevant agreements. After the report was published, newspapers such as "Nanguo Morning Post" and "Strait ***" as well as dozens of news ** have **, which has aroused heated discussions. On October 27, the Beijing News published an editorial in response to the report, "Flight delay insurance cannot become a "routine insurance", calling for "replacing cash compensation with vouchers, so that passengers' rights no longer exist". "Beijing Youth Daily", "Guangzhou**", "Legal Daily" and other ** also published relevant comments.

Internship is an important part of improving the quality of employability, but because most of the interns have not left the campus and cannot sign labor contracts, problems such as illegal fees for internship training, injuries to students during internships, and poor protection of legitimate rights and interests occur from time to time. At present, the construction of the third toilet in China is relatively slow, and in reality, disputes caused by boys entering women's toilets are not uncommon. In response to this phenomenon, I wrote a report entitled ""Bao Ma Takes Boys into Women's Toilets" Frequently Caused Controversy, Experts Appeal to Consider Adding Children's Toilets in the Future", calling on relevant departments to improve public service facilities such as the third toilet and maternal and infant rooms, and actively promote gender awareness education and publicity in public toilets, and parents should also help their children establish correct gender awareness and boundary awareness. In response to the adjustment of bus lanes and the prohibition of old scooters on the road, they respectively wrote "Can social vehicles be used when the bus lanes are empty?".Experts suggest optimizing the allocation of the right of way, adjusting it to bus priority under specific conditions, "unlicensed and unlicensed wrong-way road occupation, indiscriminate parking and other problems highlight the "old age scooter", where should the "old scooter" go?and other manuscripts.
This year, I actively participated in various training activities to continuously enrich my professional knowledge. On the morning of September 15th, the 11th National Genetically Modified Reporting Seminar was held in Beijing Dayuan Hotel, the seminar was sponsored by the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Beijing Science and Technology Reporter and Editors Association, and undertaken by Beijing Science and Technology News, with the theme of "'Accelerating the Pace of Biological Breeding Industrialization' Policy Interpretation and Pilot Phase Achievement Display". Three academicians and experts from the field of transgenic and related fields gave wonderful explanations on the development process of transgenic technology and the phased achievements of China's industrialization pilot, which made me improve my understanding of biological breeding technology.
On the afternoon of November 12, the 8th Internet Law ** Seminar, sponsored by the Business Governance Research Institute of Caijing and supported by the E-commerce Law Research Center of Peking University, opened in Beijing. Through nearly two months of online and offline learning, I have a deeper understanding of the concept of inclusive and prudent Internet rule of law. On December 16, the 2023 Annual Conference of the Center for E-Commerce Law of Peking University was held at the Marco Polo Hotel in Beijing, with the theme of "The Fifth Anniversary of the Implementation of the E-Commerce Law: Review and Prospects". The experts at the meeting summarized the far-reaching impact of the E-commerce Law on the field of online market supervision and the development of new forms of the digital economy and the valuable experience in its implementation, and deeply understood the dynamics and challenges of the e-commerce industry, which gave me a new understanding of standardizing the governance of Internet platforms and promoting the high-quality development of the digital economy.
At the same time, I have closer communication with my colleagues and peers in the department. Over the past year, a harmonious and friendly working atmosphere has been further created by strengthening daily interactions with colleagues and business **. At the end of June, the famous teacher Song Yangbiao invited colleagues to go to Xuzhou and Hongze Lake in Jiangsu Province to collect style, not only to taste the authentic food in northern Jiangsu, but also to appreciate the beautiful scenery and splendid culture of the local areaAt the end of October, I went to Sihong and Siyang in Jiangsu Province again to collect wind and felt the strong customs. At the beginning of December, the first leg of the Beijing Media Egg Club Tour was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, and nearly 50 egg lovers from the ** industry and legal circles participated in the competition. I made full use of my spare time to participate in the above activities, and I was fortunate to have in-depth exchanges and learning with many excellent teachers, and I benefited a lot.
This year, the relevant leaders of my hometown came to the newspaper office to "visit and study" which was the biggest episode in the work of the whole year, and the cause and effect were ridiculous. My hometown, Xinyu, Jiangxi Province, was originally established as a steel city, but in recent years, it has become famous for forced demolition: the local government has forcibly expropriated commercial housing in the name of shantytown reform, and illegally demolished residents' houses to implement "secondary land sales", and my family has unfortunately become a victim. Before and after, I had never used my identity as a reporter to do anything that violated the rules, but I didn't expect to be regarded as a thorn in the side and a thorn in the flesh by the local ** because of this. On January 7, 2022, my family's house in the dormitory community of Chengbei Agricultural Bank in Xinyu City was illegally demolished by the Xinyu Housing Security Service Center. Subsequently, after a series of difficult administrative lawsuits, the court twice ruled that the forced demolition by the administrative organ was illegal.
Since the incident, the actions of the local authorities concerned have been chilling. The Political and Legal Committee of the Xinyu Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Bureau of Letters and Visits, the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Municipal Housing Security Service Center have joined forces, resulting in the idling of the petition procedure. During this period, I have repeatedly reported the situation to the Xinyu Municipal Party Committee and the city, hoping to get justice, but all of them have been lost. At the same time, the administrative authorities also colluded with the courts, so that my reasonable claims were never supported by the judiciary. It was not until June 2023 that Chen Hui, director of the Xinyu Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, was admonished by the local government due to the instructions of the provincial leaders, but how could he be convinced by such a "fine of three glasses of wine"?
If things are uneven, they will sing. During this period, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to many friends in the legal profession for their continuous care and support, who have allowed me to see a glimmer of light in the darkest moments and re-examine the significance of journalism.

In the past year, "Beiqing Shen Yi" has successively published in-depth reports "Xinyu Shed Reform Housing Forced Demolition Case: The lawsuit was won, but the house was still demolished", "Xinyu City Shed Reform Housing Forced Demolition Case: Confusing the Name of Compensation, Directly Paying to Demolish the House Without Signing an Agreement", "Jingbang Jimin"** published "Reporter Encounters Illegal Forced Demolition, Calls for Retaliatory Forced Demolition", "No. 9 Xinfeng Street"** published "Xinyu Shed Reform Forced Demolition Case: Report the First-Instance Judge Arbitrarily Judgment, and the Southern Railway Intermediate People's Court Actually Asked the Second-Instance Judge Who Upheld the Original Judgment to Investigate?".γγ
These manuscripts not only record the whole process of my family's illegal forced demolition, but also vividly illustrate the long road to the construction of the rule of law. As a reporter, I really don't want to become the protagonist of the news again and again because of this, but seeing that "the wind and rain are like a dark homeland", I can't turn a blind eye, and I can only "recommend Xuanyuan with my blood".
Since May 2022, the relevant departments of Xinyu have been looking for people to put pressure on me through various channels, trying to make me think that I am unlucky, but I flatly refused. On March 3, 2023, Li Yixiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Xinyu Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, took the heads of the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, the Municipal Housing Security Service Center, and the ** of Yushui District to the newspaper office to threaten me, trying to force me to swallow the evil consequences they planted in front of the leaders. I suggested to them that they should read more of our newspapers and learn more about the law, otherwise, the people would not be afraid of death, so why should they be afraid of death.
In the end, seeing that the above tricks did not have a deterrent effect, on the evening of July 10, 2023, the local government secretly demolished my family's two old houses in Tanjiang Village, Shuibei Town, Yushui District, Xinyu City, overnight, and refused to admit it afterwards. After the two forced demolitions, although the Xinyu Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Municipal Housing Security Service Center repeatedly reversed black and white and refused to recognize the effective judgment of the court, it is clear which is right and which is wrong. Next, I will continue to follow and carefully observe and record the current situation of the construction of the rule of law at the grassroots level through judicial litigation, petition reporting, supervision and other channels.
The road is long and resistant, and the line is coming;The future is promising.
Since autumn, pathogens such as influenza virus, new coronavirus, syncytial virus, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae have struck together, and various respiratory infections have been difficult to prevent. At the end of November, I also unfortunately contracted an illness and finished the last week of the edition with illness, and then recovered. This time it was even more uncomfortable than last year, and I realized once again how happy it is to be able to breathe freely. At the end of the year, Beijing experienced a bitter winter, and it snowed heavily for five days in the city, and everything was dormant.
In the post-pandemic era, the world is even more uncertain due to the economic downturn, and everyone is anxious in the whirlpool of the times. However, there is permanence in heaven, not for Yao, not for destruction. When winter turns to spring, the magnolia flowers in the courtyard will still bloom in the wind, and the begonia flowers by the stream will still wither and flourish freely, and I will wait in the flower field for the ice and snow to melt and the spring flowers bloom.
