The car can be regarded as a pure electric version of the Peugeot 408 model, but interestingly, the new car does not adopt the design language of the current 408, but inherits the design of the old domestic Peugeot 408 from generation to generation. Of course, the car is not the first time on the market, from the declaration information, the new car and the Fukang ES600, in addition to the replacement of the brand trademark, the two electric configuration, body structure, interior and exterior decoration and safety devices are completely identical. For reference, the Beverly ES600 was officially launched in March last year, equipped with a front-mounted single motor, with a maximum pure electric range of 430km and an official guide price of 15380,000-16380,000 yuan.

The appearance of the new car is slightly "ancient", equipped with the same headlight group as the old Peugeot 408, the front grille is also a charging interface, with a closed design, and the interior is filled with matrix four-pointed star elements, and the new Lion Shield Peugeot logo in the middle indicates the identity. The interior is expected to be the same as the Beverly ES600, equipped with 9A large 7-inch embedded touch screen, a traditional digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a knob-type gear shift mechanism, a six-speaker audio system, a reversing radar, a leather steering wheel, and heated exterior mirrors are also available.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a single motor from Zhuhai Yingbo Electric Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 120 kilowatts, matched with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack. It is worth mentioning that the rebranded model of the car, the Beverly ES600, also provides a battery-swapped version.

The previously launched Beverly ES600 is aimed at the B-end travel market, with the main users coming from online car-hailing and taxis, and not the private car market. And Peugeot E408, perhaps to make up for the lack of the brand in the field of new energy, but there is no new platform and new values, how many people are willing to pay for feelings?
