Eye Care Program
Many friends think that if they have myopia surgery, they can leave everything alone. Just give yourself to the doctor. This idea is not right or wrong. There are things that need to be cooperated with the doctor, and there are things that need to be taken care of by yourself. Let's take a look.
Notes:1Accompanying family members can only be sent to the waiting area and cannot follow the patient into the operating room.
2.After entering the operating room, under the guidance of **, the patient wears a surgical cap, surgical gown, shoe cover, and puts his own clothes and other items into the storage box.
3.In the preparation area, the patient will be given eye washes, disinfections, and premedication and anesthetics will be dropped. After following the requirements of ** to complete these preparations, please close your eyes and wait, ** will guide the patient to the operating room.
4.During the operation, lie down relaxed. According to your doctor's instructions, keep both eyes open at the same time and look directly at the indicator light above. During the operation, keep the eyes and head fixed, do not squeeze the eyes, and cooperate with the doctor until the end of the operation.
5.If you have facial discomfort, coughing, sneezing, etc., you should not touch it with your hands, and do not turn your eyes or move your head position during the operation, so as not to affect the intraoperative positioning. At this point, you can communicate loudly with your doctor, who can pause the surgery or solve the problem for the patient.
6.It is normal for patients to hear a "crackling" sound or smell burnt feathers during the procedure (e.g., all-laser surgery), but do not panic.
7.During the operation, patients may have mild eye pain and water irrigation, so please do not be nervous.
8.After the surgery, a follow-up examination is performed as a routine procedure and has no effect on postoperative recovery.
9.The surgery will take 10 minutes for both eyes, and you will need to take a break after the surgery.
10.After the operation, follow the doctor's instructions to take eye drops on time and go to the hospital for re-examination on time.
Do I need to postpone surgery if I am unwell?
When a person has a fever or a severe cold, the eyes are congested with inflammation, and the immunity is low (the same is true for girls during holidays and pregnancy), and the body's repair ability is reduced, which may have an impact on the operation.
Although they are not contraindications to myopia surgery, there is no particular urgent reason for reoperation at a later date.
Fixation training can be done at home before surgery.
Fixation training can help patients better cooperate with the procedure during surgery.
How to do it: Lie flat on the bed, cover your left eye with your left hand (the left eye is open), place your right index finger in front of your right eye, and stare for 30 seconds. Alternate between the two eyes, starting three days before the operation, and repeat the training two or three times a day. With these preparations, you can easily and smoothly complete the surgery and welcome the high-definition vision!
